AMG GLC 63-s Brake/ Rotor replacement - Torque settings.

As mentioned, I am soon to do my own brakes and rotors on all 4 corners. Currently I am still getting all the parts online as I live in Japan, most parts will be coming from overseas.

I’ve of course done brakes before on a variety of cars although not on my current car.

Generally speaking all I need are the torque settings for the Front caliper carriers and the Fr/ Rr caliper torque numbers attaching them to the carrier.

Pretty simple stuff really and many peeps on here have done their brakes and rotors so if you know the torque settings I’d be much obliged.

Hate to have to start a whole F’ng thread merely to ask yet I’d not need to if I could get such simple numbers. Not found anything online and every time I search, I get older models or SL info lol.

Thanks in advance.

If there’s anything I am missing you think I need to be clued into regarding my specific model, let me know. I’d really hate to over/ under torque anything he he he.

Assuming that you strike out finding MB specific info, you can refer to standard torque specs. Do an online search for standard metric fastener torque specifications, and you'll find tables that list the torque range for bolts by diameter, thread and hardness. You want to ensure the bolts are torqued sufficiently so that they don't come loose, but not over-torqued such that they're compromised.

I’m more in utter surprise given the fact that MANY peeps have changed their rotors themselves - and within my cars context; yet they do not appear to know the torque specs lol.

F me, I’m at the point where I’ll end up having to ask Merc for the bloody specs, if they even give them to me!?

At the end of the day, I think I may end up buying an “E-repair & maintenance” PDF doc download. If I do, I’ll be sure to SHARE that info with others within the GLC 63/ 63-S family.

Did you find the torques specs you need? They're available in MB's WIS system.
