Exclamation Carlsson 1/16 for new W203 2004 C180K

Dear Guys,

Just got my 2004 W203 c180K.
A very good friend gave me 4 Carlsson's 1/16 19x8.5 and a complete set of spacers + H&R springs.
I was also told that the offset of the wheels are 40 (?)

As a newbie, I have several questions.

a. I am planning to use 235.35.19 Pirelli tires for the front.
b. What tire size should I use for the rears? 245.35.19 or 260.30.19?
Judging from the end result look, are there any significant differences between them?
c. Are there any significant differences between using the standard springs vs the H&R springs?
d. Are (the H&R) springs the most simple and quickest method to decrease the gap between the fenders and the wheels?
d. Should I use the spacers? Are they safe?
e. If the offset is a major problem. should I just barter the rims with different offsets? what type and measurement should I look for?

Thanks !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In order for any of us to answer your questions, you need to ask your friend to GIVE another set of wheels to us first!!

1. Front tire size is okay.
2. Rears should be 265/35/19, you might have rubbing problem, depending on the design of the tire. Since all 4 wheels are 19x8.5, it is better off to use four 235/35/19 instead.
3. Of course, aftermarket springs will lower your car ranging from 1"-2" (depending on brands). Personally, I dont like H&R springs, you should consider Eibach or Brabus or Renntech.
4. Any aftermarket springs can eliminate the fender gap, not H&R springs in particular.
5 & 6. Are those wheels brand new? If yes, I guess your friend must have supplied you with a set of correct adaptors. If not, better ask him what car were the wheels on before. If those are adaptors made by Carlsson and are the right size for the W203, then it is perfectly okay to use them.

Good luck!!

Thanks, Harris !

Just curious.

I noticed that a lot of guys are using between 32 - 35 offset for their C's. Will my 40 offset wheels generate any problems? Fashion wise, how will my wheels look compared to the 32 - 35 offsets?

Thank you very much !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
