I have been reading several threads on winter tires, but none comment on the 23” and any that mention it are at least a few years old. My 23” come with the performance summer tires. I live in the Midwest where it’s consistently below 40F.

There are no exact size matches for any all season or winter tires.

Will the pirelli scorpion winter 2s work with these? The tread width is a little wide but only by 5mm. Could cause clearance issues, but seems minimal. Anyone have any experience? I’d love not to have to buy an extra set of rims with winter tires. Is my best bet to call tire rack and talk to someone there?

For winter driving, bite the bullet and downsize to a set of 20" wheels and tires. Eventually, you're gonna slide into a curb or hit a pothole. A dinged 23" wheel and possibly wasted tire won't bring you much joy.
