W211 E280 CDI 2007
Exclamation W211 making strange sound when turning right.

Hello MB family,
I put my MB E280 CDI 2007 W211 to the local garage to change the power steering fluid after 40k miles also they have replaced the braking fluid, oil etc. After leaving the garage I noticed that when steering right I could hear a funny noise like a rubber or similar. When going back from right to straight also but when going left the noise is gone however sometimes could hear something but nothing as significant when turning right. I can also feel the steering wheel has been more stiff than it was before. I also noticed that after long driving this sound is gone or almost gone - I know this might sound wierd but this is exactly what I'm experiencing. Does anyone know how to advise please, before I give my car back to garage which will charge me mountains I'm sure. Thank you all very much.

Call the shop and notify them of the sound youre hearing and stiffness. tell them youre going to drive it around for 1-2 days see if the new fluid just need to work its way in. whenever i install a new part i almost always feel like something is different.
turn the car off and rotate the wheel back and forth, might have an airbubble (i dont remember if theres a fill cap on top, if there is crack it open when turning the wheel.

Thank you for the advice. I have been driving around the town for about 30 minutes and when started the sound was there but when arrived home it was almost gone so it seems when fluid is hot it works fine but when cold makes all that sound but who knows. I will put your suggestion into action this evening, use the bicycle to commute today. Many thanks.
