Luke, need help with ASA rims please

Hey Luke, sorry to keep bugging you man. But I think I have finally made my descion. Again I have an 05 230 SS. The rims I am considering are the ASA ST4 17inch in chrome. I need advise please.

1) Since I have the staggered look on my car, can I still keep the same wheels in the back? Would the ASA rim (17inch ) fit the 245 wheel? (keep in mind the 17inch ST4 that you guys sell is not staggered)

2) I read in an earlier post that you stated the center cap with ASA rims come with a benz star or can fit a benz star. Im curious because the ST4 design doesnt look like it will fit the center cap star since the lug holes are embeded around the center cap. Can you please clarrify this for me.

Thank you for your time.

well thanks for the info but can you please:

1) tell me why the original tires should not be used since its the same size?

2) you never answered the wheel cap question.

It seems like your responses are extreemly minimal as I also read other posts you responded to. Not sure if this is how you operate or am I expecting too much from posting detailed self explanitory questions and expecting good answers.

sorry, about that .... it's just really hard to keep up at this time of year .... In order to keep everybody happy and not feeling ignored I have to temper the length of my responses .... if you looked at responses in the spring/ summer you would see much lengthier answers and we have already discussed this issue many times in the past few weeks

and as I have previously stated the MB Star center caps do come with the wheels

see this post

depends on the weather
OE Front
225/45-17
17x7.5

OE rear
245/40-17
17x8.5

running those tire sizes on a 17x8.0 wheel will cause different sidewall deflection rates and adversely effect the handling of the car ..... it is not a good idea to run staggered tires on non-staggered wheels of non-staggered tires on staggered wheels for this very reason

Thanks Luke, I appreciate the detailed information. Forgive me if it sounded like I attacked you, that was not my intention. With that explanation I can now see why your responses are minimal. Any way it sounds like you are good people. I guess I will wait till ASA makes more AMG replica looking designes as you mentioned in another post. But for sure I will be calling you when I make that order.

winter = short precise responses
all other times = debates, discussion and product introduction
