Bridgestone RE-950 or Turanza LSH

I have a 1995 E420 which I have ordered Alutec AMG replicas 16 X 7.5 for. Read lot's of reveiws on TireRack and have narrowed it down to RE-950 or Turanza LSH's tires. I am N Calf. Had Michelin XGTH4 on a 300e and liked those but not good in the rain. Any comments on which tire would be a better ride?

Also see lot's of posts regarding size. Recommended are 205/55/16 but some people say go with 225/50/16. Will they work without rubbing?

I should have mentioned I am an aggressive driver

Should I move up to a V rated tire? Will that give me even better handling?
