Brakes C230
I have 16,000+ miles on my '04.5 C230 and my brakes are starting to squeak, Going to the Dealer next week to see what's wrong, I through I would get better results than that.
Has anyone tried ceramic pads?
Will ceramic pads offer better ware?
Can you get them through the dealer?
Other suggestions?
Thanks Jkw

You DON'T need new brakes just yet ( unless you are super hard on brakes ).
Most likely you will need to get the pads re-set, i.e. lubricated where they slide, maybe remove a little " glazing ", that should just about do it.

confirm the process for me?
Hey guys I have 26.5k miles on my ride now and the brake wear warning message is now on and funny thing is the pedal now goes closer to the floor (soft and mushy now).
I looked at the pads thru the rims and they look good like an 1/8 inch thickness left..
I was going to take my rotors down to get resurfaced and just get the porterfield brake pads for the front and not do the rears just yet as I think the rears should be done for every two of the front. (?)
Could someone confirm these steps are correct and tell me the correct model of pads to look for ? (do the come with new sensors?)
1. remove calipers
2. remove rotors
3. remove pads
4. resurface rotors
5. replace with new pads <--so where does the goopy stuff get slapped on in the process?
6. replace new sensors (?)
7. replace rotors
8. replace calipers
I guess when i take it in for the B service they will flush the fluid and stuff so I will leave that for them...
Thanks guys!
