BS tire sizes
Has anyone else noticed that some companies advertise their wheels for cars and more often than not claim they use a tire size that is non-existant. Example would be Carlsson, they claim they use a 295/25 tire for a 20"x 9.5" rim in the rear of an R230 SL 500. I asked Luke at the Tire Rack and he said that size is not available from any of the 20 tire manufacturers they carry. Another example is Porsche, For the new 996 Turbo, HRE has a 19"x11" rim for the rear, and claim they use a Yokohama AVS 315/25 tire. Whats the deal, what are the real tire sizes? And why do they make up tire sizes?

depends on the weather
The only thing I can add to this is that in Europe some things are available there that do not come the the states. As far as the R230 we recommend the 275/30-20 rear tire size.
