PROS & CONS: Wider tires on AMG 17" monoblock wheels?
Can one use wider tires on the standard 17" wheels?
Standard front tires: 225/45/17.
Increase to 235/45/17?
Standard rear tires: 245/40/17.
Increase to 255/40/17?
Do wheels require new alignment with wider tires?
I welcome your comments.

As long as you can find that size, the difference in tire height is very small...
(225*.45)*2/25.4+17 = 24.97" tall
(235*.45)*2/25.4+17 = 25.32" tall
Plug in your numbers for the rears and away you go
You won't need to do anything else with such a small increase in tire width/height.
