And you ARE misrepresenting. Your title says "ContiSport", but the pictures are for ContiPro, a completely different tire. Only an idiot, like you, would not know/see that.

Regardless...if they are ContiSport or ContiPro....this is the OEM tire according to what my Mercedes dealer put on. If it is a ContiPro, it was an unintentional mistake. That is the fact as I know it from what my dealer said. If they screwed up, then fine, they could be a ContiPro. Either way...they are less than half what I had to pay, and were OEM according to my dealership here. No matter what, you have no interest, so go sod off.

The Best of Mercedes & AMG

ContiPro Contact tires in sizes which are staggered 245/40-18 front and 265/35-18 rear. My obviously inept dealer told me they were OEM, but it has been brought to my attention that this is not correct. So for sake of ease, I am not calling these anything other than TIRES in the sizes listed above. They cost me $1,500 to put on at Mercedes, which evidently was another raping. According to Tire Rack and their website, these would cost $962 + shipping and taxes, or $1,078.73 to my door brand new. I am only asking $600 for them, so it comes down to the fact that if you are looking for USED TIRES, you are looking to save money, and I am offering you that opportunity.
Feel free to PM me with any other questions or concerns. I will ship anywhere that you want to pay for. Thank you.

$550 O.B.O.
This is a HECK OF A DEAL!! Almost a third of what I paid.
That is an Audi OEM tire - less rated load than MB specifies. It is not approved for MB.
MB uses XL rated (97 load, not 93) tires on E-class. These (MB spec 97V load) tires are more expensive. See link below:
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....an&autoModClar=
MB dealer would not put a tire on a car rated for less load than factory specified. If something were to happen, they would have beed sued. They do not want that. This also explains provided installation cost in the first post. I'm sure he has the more expensive tires, not the one you posted.

I see, then these are not MB spec tires then? In any event, I thought the whole point of this exercise is that OP misrepresented the items in the first.
I do need the two front tires, but wanted to help clear things up. Seeing how people are threaten with bodily harm because they pointed out the OP was wrong just doesn't seem right.

Sorry, I take it back. Good catch.
I did not even look at the load rating. Once I saw the tread pattern, I knew tires were not as described. I do agree with you - the point is for everyone here to be as honest as possible. You never know when one may need or want to sell something here, so its to everyone's benefit for posters to be true and civilized. I wish there was a way to "ignore" userids similar to the way Yahoo does - would make for much cleaner and civilized boards.

Do you guys think that maybe he was posting it as described to him from his dealer? Maybe, just maybe he didn't know.

I have an idea....let's close this thread. I never intended to cause this much of an issue, and am getting more ticked at my dealer by the moment since they obviously gouged me on tires and misrepresented them to me.
This was an honest mistake, and quite honestly this is not worth the trouble. Tires are no longer for sale. I am just going to throw them away probably.
Moderators....please close this thread. It is more trouble than it is worth.

What cracks me up is that NOT A SINGLE PERSON ON THIS THREAD simply PM'd me and said, 'Hey man....I think your tires may be different than you think'. What would be so hard about that? Does nobody have a backbone anymore? Instead everyone is more concerned about sh*tting on someones thread and attacking someones integrity for what was really a simple misplacement of trust in what my Mercedes dealer told me they had installed.
EggEgg...what would have been so hard about contacting me privately with that information so that I could correct the mistake? Seriously.

He had me @$550, but I'm not so sure I should give him my address.
In most jurisdiction, threatening another with bodily harm is a mistermeaner charge. Showing up with intent is a felony. You do it on the internet / by mail, that is interstate - felony.
If you show up in my jurisdiction to "discuss matters", you maybe arrested and charged with a variety of offences.
So I would suggest to the OP, to think before shooting his mouth off.

No worries about your address. You were never really interested anyway, and even if you were I would not sell them to you. So, no harm, no foul.
Don't throw them away, that's silly. Close this thread and just sell them on ebay. Don't make mention of Mercedes, or OEM or anything. Describe the tires exactly as they are, and they'll sell. They certainly look to be in great condition at a good price.
Good luck to you.
