FS: E63 OEM Continental ContiSport Contact tires **ONLY 800 mile on them**!!

I have a couple of sets of tires for my E63, and I have decided to clear out my storage shed in order to buy a cool set of summer wheels. These tires were put on by the Mercedes Benz dealer a couple of months ago at a cost of almost $1,500 and are the OEM spec Continental tires for the E63 AMG. The sizes are staggered 245/40-18 front and 265/35-18 rear.

I am asking $800 for the set, as they are almost new, and only have about 800 miles on them. Please let me know your interest. If you are local to Indianapolis within a couple of hours, we can even work out delivery.

These are NOT ContiSport contacts summer UHP tires that E63 is equipped with from the factory. Those are ContiPro contacts all season touring tires. They are not OEM on any AMG car. FYI, most people here are not idiots. Also, these tires are under $1,000 delivered brand new from the TireRack (add about $100 to install from most of their recommended installers). Why even put these tires on E63? They are midiocre, at best, even for E350. Your last asking price is more resonable, but do not misrepresent (this is the only reason for my comment) these tires as OEM on E63.

Attention ASSFACE!! These are the tires that the Mercedes dealer put on my car as OEM spec tires. If you want to argue with the dealer, more power to you, but I am NOT misrepresenting the tires. If you have a problem with that, GO **** YOURSELF! Since you have no interest in the tires, F*CK OFF!!

Very intelligent response, IDIOT. This thread wil be reported to the moderator, I'll make sure of that.

And you ARE misrepresenting. Your title says "ContiSport", but the pictures are for ContiPro, a completely different tire. Only an idiot, like you, would not know/see that.

I will tell you what, Mr. Internet Badass....gimme your address, and let's see if you are this tough when I show up at your house to 'discuss matters'. How does that sound? When you are laying on your sidewalk I do not think you will be so ballsy. Did your Mommy and Daddy not hug you enough and now you have to be the Internet Police? Poor baby.

Regardless...if they are ContiSport or ContiPro....this is the OEM tire according to what my Mercedes dealer put on. If it is a ContiPro, it was an unintentional mistake. That is the fact as I know it from what my dealer said. If they screwed up, then fine, they could be a ContiPro. Either way...they are less than half what I had to pay, and were OEM according to my dealership here. No matter what, you have no interest, so go sod off.

Both of you are being unreasonable, only difference being one of you is factually correct and one isn't.

OEM refers to what the car comes with from the factory. Just because your dealer put those tires on your car, doesn't make them OEM.

It is what my dealer told me, as I said. Either way....bottom line is that if my dealer lied to me, fine...they are still way less than what you would have to pay from your dealer, local tire shop, etc, for what these tires would cost new, and these are darn near new anyway. Any errors were made on accident based on what Mercedes told me when I was getting this done, and I have said that already. I cannot correct the title line of the for sale post or I would. So in order to stop beating a dead horse here, and to make sure all future readers of this thread are 100% clear, I will even write this in BOLD PRINT so everyone can see I am trying my best to correct any errors. Beyond that, there is nothing I can do.

ContiPro Contact tires in sizes which are staggered 245/40-18 front and 265/35-18 rear. My obviously inept dealer told me they were OEM, but it has been brought to my attention that this is not correct. So for sake of ease, I am not calling these anything other than TIRES in the sizes listed above. They cost me $1,500 to put on at Mercedes, which evidently was another raping. According to Tire Rack and their website, these would cost $962 + shipping and taxes, or $1,078.73 to my door brand new. I am only asking $600 for them, so it comes down to the fact that if you are looking for USED TIRES, you are looking to save money, and I am offering you that opportunity.

Feel free to PM me with any other questions or concerns. I will ship anywhere that you want to pay for. Thank you.

Price drop because one of the tires fell on my wife's car in the garage today and I am tired of listening to the barking.

$550 O.B.O.

This is a HECK OF A DEAL!! Almost a third of what I paid.

EggEgg,

That is an Audi OEM tire - less rated load than MB specifies. It is not approved for MB.

MB uses XL rated (97 load, not 93) tires on E-class. These (MB spec 97V load) tires are more expensive. See link below:

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....an&autoModClar=

MB dealer would not put a tire on a car rated for less load than factory specified. If something were to happen, they would have beed sued. They do not want that. This also explains provided installation cost in the first post. I'm sure he has the more expensive tires, not the one you posted.

EggEgg....just curious...do you actually have any interest in the tires? I cannot tell since you did not actually post any text at all. Additionally, you posted a screen shot of only 2 tires instead of 4 tires, and the two tires you posted (as was stated in the post following yours) are Audi tires and not the tires that are correct for Mercedes. Try going to Tire Rack and entering in 2007 E63 AMG and you will get the CORRECT tires, which are more expensive than the ones you posted a screen shot of (as you can also see in the link in the post above).

I see, then these are not MB spec tires then? In any event, I thought the whole point of this exercise is that OP misrepresented the items in the first.

I do need the two front tires, but wanted to help clear things up. Seeing how people are threaten with bodily harm because they pointed out the OP was wrong just doesn't seem right.

EggEgg,

Sorry, I take it back. Good catch.

I did not even look at the load rating. Once I saw the tread pattern, I knew tires were not as described. I do agree with you - the point is for everyone here to be as honest as possible. You never know when one may need or want to sell something here, so its to everyone's benefit for posters to be true and civilized. I wish there was a way to "ignore" userids similar to the way Yahoo does - would make for much cleaner and civilized boards.

Do you guys think that maybe he was posting it as described to him from his dealer? Maybe, just maybe he didn't know.

Thank you! I am getting grilled for trusting my dealer. I never knew this many people had this much free time to spend grilling someone for a mistake which was made purely by accident by trusting my dealer. Good lord. Some people need a life.

I have an idea....let's close this thread. I never intended to cause this much of an issue, and am getting more ticked at my dealer by the moment since they obviously gouged me on tires and misrepresented them to me.

This was an honest mistake, and quite honestly this is not worth the trouble. Tires are no longer for sale. I am just going to throw them away probably.

Moderators....please close this thread. It is more trouble than it is worth.

I trusted my dealer!! I did not intentionally misrepresent the tires. I had no reason to second guess them until now. Simple as that. If I was going to INTENTIONALLY try to misrepresent the tires, DO YOU THINK I WOULD HAVE POSTED THAT MANY PICTURES OF THEM??

What cracks me up is that NOT A SINGLE PERSON ON THIS THREAD simply PM'd me and said, 'Hey man....I think your tires may be different than you think'. What would be so hard about that? Does nobody have a backbone anymore? Instead everyone is more concerned about sh*tting on someones thread and attacking someones integrity for what was really a simple misplacement of trust in what my Mercedes dealer told me they had installed.

EggEgg...what would have been so hard about contacting me privately with that information so that I could correct the mistake? Seriously.

I completely understand we make mistakes and humbled sometimes, but with this attitude, you didn't think OP was trying to sell something.
He had me @$550, but I'm not so sure I should give him my address.

In most jurisdiction, threatening another with bodily harm is a mistermeaner charge. Showing up with intent is a felony. You do it on the internet / by mail, that is interstate - felony.

If you show up in my jurisdiction to "discuss matters", you maybe arrested and charged with a variety of offences.

So I would suggest to the OP, to think before shooting his mouth off.

LOL!! Thank you 'Internet Police Officer'. So, is a 'mistermeaner' the Internet version of a 'misdemeanor'? I would assume an Internet Legal Eagle like you would at least know how to spell the crimes in question.

No worries about your address. You were never really interested anyway, and even if you were I would not sell them to you. So, no harm, no foul.

Meeyatch,

Don't throw them away, that's silly. Close this thread and just sell them on ebay. Don't make mention of Mercedes, or OEM or anything. Describe the tires exactly as they are, and they'll sell. They certainly look to be in great condition at a good price.

Good luck to you.
