not sure what you mean by duped. you dont even know what they sold for. best i can tell he got enough money that he walked away happy and i paid what i wanted to pay for them and im happy. if anybody was duped it was you for paying to much for the wheels you bought. but in the spirit of the forum if you want to sell 2 of your wheels for 200$ shipped to columbus oh i know a guy that will buy them. let me know

Yes, you're right I don't know what they sold for. Maybe I was being assumptive. However, I do know that I got a deal at $300 as these wheels are growing increasingly rare now that they have an application (racing). For years they were dirt cheap because, well, they're ugly.
Anyhow. If you were in the market, you knew that they are selling for well over $200 regularly and when the seller revealed he did not know the value, you took the opportunity to offer him a handful of dirt and some pocket lint. I mean, there are probably sets local to you for $400, so to make it worth your while after shipping, the seller can't be pocketing more than $200 or you would have just gone local. Maybe you explained to him what they were worth and that the market value is much higher. Maybe he was grateful for your honesty and gave you a deal anyhow, and if that's what happened, I am sorry I opened my mouth. But the more likely scenario is that you left him in the dark to get a deal. That's fine too, you say he walked away happy, albeit blissfully so. No reason to be mad at me so the next guy can get what they're actually worth though.
As for the two I won't be using, they are now spoken for.
Cheers! Hope there are no hard feelings.

I paid that because they are worth that. I was not selling to recoup the costs, I have a friend who wants them for his car. Just because you got a steal on the set doesn't mean they aren't worth more. There are people on this forum who have recently paid $200 a pair. Yes, there may have been a lot of these wheels produced, but they are also being bought up at upgrades for older chassis cars. VW vanagon guys have begun running them and buying them up @$400 per set like crazy. The fact is, people ARE willing to pay $300 for these, and not just me. AKnight knows they were worth more. You knew that, and you still offered him only half. I just want the next person selling a set of these to get fair market value. No reason to be defensive.
Again, all I want to do is inform future sellers. I did not mean to offend you and I hold no grudge. Cheers!
