OK folks, I'll give you both the good and the bad:

These wheels were on my SL55 when I purchased the car. They had spacers; my trusted wheel shop said that the lugs were wrong. They ordered the proper lugs, and the wheels fit with no issue. That said, they were the wrong offsets for the car. As you will see by the pics, the offsets are poorly marked but APPEAR to be 38 for the 8.5 and 43 for the 9.5. Again, the worked on my SL55 with no discernible issue. The wheels are marked "MODE (not MADE) IN GERMANY. Take that for what it's worth.

As for what's good, the paint and appearence are good, as are the caps. There is very little curbing. As for the bad, I hit monster pothole and bent one of the 8.5 fronts. The repair job was unsightly as the pics will show, but the wheel DID BALANCE OUT...I was surprised that it did...but it did. Also, in an apparent attempt to avoid copyright infringement, the AMG logo was an applique set into the wheel. On one rear wheel, the logo is missing.

SO...there you go. What's a fair price? I believe it to be $350, with you paying shipping. These are a great set for snow tires, etc. They're not costing my anything in my shed so that will be my firm price. I have them already boxed (in the boxes my CL63 wheels came in) and taped up, ready to ship. Any questions please let me know...

Even though it has been explained to me 100 times, and I understand the concept, wheel fitment is a black art to me. The offset info in the original post is all I can offer...

Mode in Germany? The Chinese are known to be bad at spelling English. Are there any other markings on the wheels such as TUV approval?

Like I said, take it for what it's worth. Nothing else to report; it wouldn't surprise me for a minute that they were chinese. That's why I mentioned it...

Made in Germany wheels will have to be TÜV approved, this seem fishy.
