7 Reasons Why the Mercedes-AMG C63 Is Better Than the BMW M3

So we’ve been with the Mercedes-AMG W205 C63 for a few months now, and it’s so good that even the guys over at Car Throttle are won over. Here’s their arguments, as highlighted in the video below:

The engine is more exciting: Where the BMW might have an engine that’s better on the boil, an engine that’s usable at all RPMs is just as important. That’s found in the C63.

It sounds better: This is an easy one. A V8 twin turbo is going to sound better than a faint buzz from a 6 cylinder. Try as you might BMW, but this doesn’t sound as good as your old glorious straight 6s from years gone by.

It’s more subtle: The C63 doesn’t scream performance, it demands it. The M series on the other hand has gone a bit crazy with their styling budget.

It allows you to live: Driving the BMW, you’ll want to approach its limits. Which you’ll only find at the moment you’ve broken them. The C63 is different. It wants you to have fun, but it’ll let you know when you’re in danger.

It’s nicer inside: This may be subjective, but I quite like the Mercedes COMAND interface over the BMW iDrive system.

If you live in the U.K., you can get it as an estate: Us lowly admirers in the U.S.A. can’t get one, but if you want to be the coolest kat on the block, get a C63 estate.

It’s a better daily driver: Cars that are comfortable at any pace make for the best daily drivers. The BMW asks you to drive it at 100%, which can be tiresome.

I’m ready for the firestorm!
