Hilarious SLK Advertisement Describes Car as “Diabetic”

It Appears as Though Some Human Ailments, Such as Being Diabetic, Can Affect Our Automotive Companions

Craigslist ads are sometimes a bit too honest, but oftentimes that can lead to quite an entertaining read. Driven “proudly by a 69-year-old diabetic Egyptian man with congestive heart failure, and vascular issues,” this SLK230 seems to have taken on the diseases of its former owner. Low idle speed seems to be one mechanical issue with the car. But the seller isn’t mechanically inclined, so he concludes “it may have contracted type-2 diabetes from being driven by my Dad.”

On the plus side, the car seems to be in fine shape for 110,000 miles, with the hardtop working perfectly, and so far not contracting any diseases. Windows have a slight leak, so we will let you place your own human malfunction on that. Even better, the battery was replaced recently, even though the low battery light comes on. Associate that with a pacemaker if you want.

While most of us keep jumper cables and other emergency equipment in our trunk, this one comes with something special. Candy that was used by the diabetic man is included with the sale. Whether that helps the car run any better or not is debatable. Better have it just in case.
