Would You Sink $250K Into a Weistec C63?

C63 AMG WEISTEC

The Weistec Modifications Alone Are Said to Cost $267,000.

It’s unusually easy these days to throw money at a car in order to make it go faster and make it look the way you want. Weistec is one such company that is happy to take your money in order to accomplish both goals. That’s not a bad thing. They make quality products, and have an extremely happy client base. However, it is possible to go a little overboard.

This Weistec-modified C63 AMG is an example. By all estimates, the car has $340,000 invested into it. Granted, the modification list is so long it’ll make your eyes water, but it just seems a bit odd that it all amounted up to $267,000 by the time the job invoice was handed over.

So what do you get for all that money? Power wise, you’ll get 800 horsepower and 1000 lb/ft of torque when the engine is mapped for racing fuel. Pumping premium into the car will net you 700 horsepower and “over 900” lb/ft of torque. No specific numbers are given. Those claims are achieved through a Weistec Stage 2 supercharger, which pushes air through a very-modified M156 long block.

Appearance being important, a wide body kit was added, which rounds off a set of massive HRE wheels. Red leather accents are also found on the inside, and interestingly, under the hood. Aesthetics were the most important part of the car, as an old MBWorld thread indicated that the owner never took the car to a track. It was for show only.

Show cars have a tendency of passing through various owners, and now this very car is for sale. That is, if you want to pay the $95,000 asking price.
