Would You Buy a 10-Year-Old AMG If It Had a Warranty?

It’s an improbable combination: AMG, plus 700 horsepower, plus warranty, all for $43,900. That’s in the territory of a brand-new C300, so what gives? Well, this CLS55 AMG comes with a bit of a past, but not at all like the kind of past you worry about when dating. It’s a 2006 CLS55 that was formerly used as a SEMA show car, and has almost every inch customized in some sort of way. A custom matte-white wrap greets you from the exterior. And inside, it’s all quilted suede seating in the colors of red, gray, and black.

By the way, that matte wrap covers an interesting red and black two-tone paint, if you were to choose to remove it.

Under the hood you’ll find a supercharged 5.5-liter V8 AMG unit with only 31,000 miles, with performance upgrades bringing the horsepower total to 700.

And as for that headline: a three-year and 45,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty! Yep, it is very true, and you really should check it out in this posting on our forums. For a low-mileage car like this with all of the work done, that’s a steal.
