Engine stalls when stopping and taking corners
Car: 2001 E320
Mileage: 171k+
Location: Hot as hell Dallas (Go Mavs!)
I searched (albeit maybe not hard enough) the threads and did not find a similar situation
Ok, so my car has been operating fine since I bought the car used in January of this year. The car has been parked for about a week. Yesterday, my sister decides to take the car the car out and calls and says the car dies when she makes a turn and when she comes to a stop. She gets the car back and my brother checks it out and it is doing the same thing. However, he turns off the A/C and the stalling stops.
I get the car today and no problems when turns with the A/C on but it does nearly stall when I make a relatively hard stop and try to accelerate again.
What could the possible problem(s) be? The car has never given me any problems before I parked it for the last week.
Any advice would be helpful. Thanks!

rEPLACE FUEL
FILTER
www.autohausaz.com
diy on w210 froum www.benzworld.org
then replace your cps(crankshaft sensor) also at autohausaz
diy on you know where.
Either issue can cause the stalling symptoms and they are due to be changed anyway.
Also inspect all vacuum hoses for cracks.
This is your homework assignment report back when completed

update
OK, so I haven't had the time to replace the fuel filter, etc. I did take it by Autozone and the MAF sensor error code, among a couple others were discovered. Well, the store did not have a MAF in stock and would take a day to get it. In the meantime, I bought a $7.00 can of MAF cleaner and cleaned the sensor as per instructions I found online. The car suddenly stops stalling, it has considerably more power off the line and seems to be running smoother. Almost like it unleashed the flood gates and now it just moves! Of course, this is after one day. I will say how long this holds up. I will still do the maintenance to get the car running right as soon as I have the time. Thanks for the help

Take "ohlord" 's advice. It easier to make the necessary repairs on your terms then on the cars terms ( breakdown ) .

Fortunately, I have more than one car at my disposal and do not need the Merc at this time. As I mentioned earlier, I am still doing the repairs, just as soon as I can break away from my small business to do the job. I neither intended, nor mentioned, that I would not make the necessary repairs as ohlord recommended. I definitely appreciate the advice as I am a novice to Mercedes.
Now, if anyone wants to take care of my business so I can concentrate on fixing my car, I would appreciate it more than anyone knows!!

The salient
point you left out is you had a check engine light on. That info is always important to state.
Never buy a MAF or a cps or any critical sensors from autozone.
WWW.AUTOHAUSAZ.COm has it when you need it for surely a p0170 p0173 fuel trim code or an outright maf circuit code will return at the least expected time and bite you in the ****.
So more homework
FF cps maf
And check you tire pressure looks like the right rear is a tad low.

Probably better to start a new thread since many people will not read thread further.
P0170 and P0173 are classic codes for a failing MAF. Be sure to get exactly the right BOSCH MAF from a reputable online seller not eBayer's selling Chinese knock-offs.

Probly doesnt matter if he jacks this thread, I'm so sick of newbies joining and asking questions and then never being heard from again!
