MHP Camshafts: Results?

I remember on the group buy ten people ordered camshafts. Have these been delivered and has there been any results posted by any of the owners?

The cams are in and run great N/A and on spray!!
The cams alone are worth 40-50rwhp N/A. I say that confidently because in the Florida heat and humidity my car usually dyno'd between 465 to 475 every time. With the cams in the same heat and humidity she pulled over 510 every time. Minimum gains should be 35rwhp and the larger differences are over 50. You can be conservative and say 30-40 if you would like but thats huge at this point in the game at the rear wheels.

I just like the fact that I have over 500rwhp all day every day whether I'm in Florida or up north N/A!!

Not sure about the rest. Not many people as dedicated as Keith when it comes to track results.

I'd also be curious to hear from the other owners. I'm a really big fan of Cams, and even considered putting up the money to create competing product to the MHP ones, but it just doesnt seem like cams are a big item in the MB community?

Cams are not a big item because the software side of the install was the obstacle to overcome for many years until very recently.

I think its quite a financial outlay for most and I also reckon that a lot of people have a taboo that our motors are very advanced and are hesitant to do mods that require the motor to be opened.

Weistec 2.3L stage 1 supercharger~ $14999 - result : 120-140 RWHP

MHP camshafts~ $8000 - results~ claimed 41RWHP

$8000 gets you 40RWHP

and for 7K more you have the choice of getting nearly 100RWHP and 120 ft/lb torqe extra. With absolutely bolt on material with no need to open up your engine.

do you get it?

I'm pretty familiar with the S/C set up and the cams. I'm also famliar with what Mike (Dodger63) has and I don't think he can get away with only a $15,000 investment at his level? I also don't think the stage 1 set up will get over 600rwhp?

Again, correct me if I'm wrong and I'm not encouraging either but I agree with Mike and the 120-140rwhp you are discussing is based on a "STOCK" C63, not one at the level Mike is at. Am I wrong?

What I mean is Mike can invest a LOT less than $12,000 and have 510-525rwhp with the cams. I believe the stage 1 kit only gives around 525-550 rwhp? Not trying to start an argument just trying to clarify the costs vs results.

I believe you are. You can even ask Steven about it. I gained 138 RWHP above my Tune+LT headers+ intake

Cost of getting to Mike's 525 claimed rwp Cost:

MHP LT headers: 3000
MHP V4 tune: 1500
MHP camshafts: 8000
MHP Intake &filters: 1500
MHP Race Exhust (dont know if he has that): $2000
total $16000 or 14000 if you dont count the race exhust

Weistec stage 1 blower on a stck C63 without a race tune: 14000, result 525-550RWHP

blower is a better option

I know

Dont worry. There will be better and cheaper options pretty soon. There are about 2 german tuners selling them with the matching software tune. I will post about them pretty soon.

You can currently get the Kleeman camshafts, but I dont know if they have a tune for it. I also know Renntech have already tested and tuned camshafts for the M156.

Is that with installation? Damn that is high? Are the cams a pain to install on the 6.2?

Cams in the Z06 are $1500 installed WITH a tune.
