![Question](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/icons/icon5.gif)
G'Day from Australia.
OK, so we're talking 30-40 HP from a camshaft alone?....Does ECU have to be remapped to get that?
Has anyone got a graph of before/after power/torque results after a camshaft upgrade, because I would like to see where (RPM) precisely that amout of extra power is available.
Obviously, I'm not querying the power increase, because the quoted increase is entirely realistic considering the size & design of this engine....I would just like to know, and see on a graph, where the increase starts to occur.
Cheers, Pickles.

Agreed a dyno showing the power profile stock tuned vs cams tuned would be nice.

With respect to the Renntech M156 option that they tested, vs. what MHP offers... it's apples and oranges, as I understand it (and no, the source was not Andy or one of his customers). Just FWIW.

Stage 1+, 672 Horsepower, 662 ft-lb of Torque. $15k
Or 30-50rwhp amd 17rwtq for 8k..
Personally, I'd take the blower any day. If your spending 8k you're pot committed, might as well double down and go all the way??

You need special tools to install the cams (4) in the m156. It's a PIA my tech told me. The cam adjusters have to be held in place, timing chains, etc,

I have been going over the instructions of adding and removing and it's not that difficult. Tool can be found online. A lot of techs get nervous with cars that have variable Cam timing.
