Front door soft close not working
Hi all, My back doors close automatically, but not the front. I think I read somewhere that disco'ing the battery may solve this. Is this true, any suggestions?

you can pull the 25 amp fuse under the passenger rear seat, but that is a temporary solution. It works if for whatever reason there was an obstruction and the pump timed out.
However, you most likely have a leak, or a bad pump.

I had this problem but only on the driver door.
Anyways, I just replaced the 25A fuse a few minutes ago and the problem is fixed now. Maybe its not a problem with the pump in my case.
Thank you OliverK so very much for the pointer.
Hope Trudawg has the same problem as I did.

I am not sure if its a blown fuse or not. I just replaced it none the less and door started working ever since. Other doors never had a problem.
When I replaced the fuse while the car was off, door was still not working. So, I replaced the fuse while the car was on. That did it.
Like OliverK said, the replacement of the fuse might have taken care of a pump timing out due to an earlier blockage.
One other symptom that makes me believe mine could be a fuse/electric related problem is that the light behind the inside door handle would turn on and off when I was driving at night. As if there was a loose connection or so. I am yet to drive at night to see if this is fixed too.

In the morning i sat down in my car turn the engine on and after closing the door i heard pretty loud boom, after that happened my soft door closer didnt work, and if i try to close it it has continuous sound like motor working or something. Any suggestions?
By the way it was really hot outside today, like 106-108, could it be cause of problem?

no, hot temps should not cause the problem.
If none of your soft close stuff works, you either have a massive leak or a bad pump.
If its just one door, I'd say its a leak. Either way, the longer you keep at this, the chances your pump is fried go up exponenetially.

Reset the system by pulling the fuse and reinstall it
It should work .
If it stops working again there is a problem inside the door and the system is protecting the pump from burning out

Find the floor light just behind the right rear passenger's heels. Pull the entire light unit away from the wall. Find the yellow fuse near the right side of the fuse row. With the engine running, remove the fuse for thirty seconds.
Try the door closing. If it works, drive on. If it quits working soon, there is a leak or another problem, probably inside the door.
If the problem is the plastic housing for the pneumatic diaphragm, it can sometimes be repaired. There are several YouTube videos on this repair.

What the hell?
I closed the door and heard a loud POP! Then I heard a hissing and the close assist wasn’t working. I tested it a few more times and it kept hissing but then even the hissing stopped and the close assist still wasn’t working 😩

The pneumatic actuator for the "soft-close" system has failed. The operation is done with positive pressure, and the pressure has pushed the actuator apart.
It might be possible to repair the actuator with wire and epoxy - sometimes works, sometimes doesn't. There used to be vendors who sold the actuators or parts to repair the actuators - no idea whether this is still true or not. There are numerous threads in the BenzWorld Forum on repairing this problem.
The hissing stopped because the control module for the pneumatic system monitors the time required to do an operation. If the time required is longer than the allowed time, the system will stop performing the operation to protect the PSE pump.

In the right-rear passenger floor area, find the floor lamp that is behind the passenger's heels. Pull the lamp from the carpeted wall (don't bother to disconnect it), and locate the yellow 20-Amp fuse toward the inboard end of the row. Remove it, make sure that it isn't blown and reinstall it. That resets the PSE control module. If the function operates for a few times and then shuts off again, there is a leak in that circuit.
