Another issue with my c230. Any help
I have another issue with my 2005 c230 kompressor sedan
Was driving stopped to grab a coffee and than all of a sudden car would not start back up. Got it towed back home and we changed the starter. Car would still not start with key fob in the vehicle. We were able to start it directly from starter underneath with key turned all the way. I took out all the fuses in the back of the vechile and put them in and than the car started up normally. It was Very weird. I drove the car for a boot on the highway incase it was the battery to charge it a bit.
This morning I went to start car with key and nothing would start. Car is dead. Radio turns on and im still able to use fob to open doors etc.
Now before you say its the battery we were able to jump start it with the starter. I replaced batterys in key fob. Does anyone have any idea what it could be? Seems like a security setting or am I totally off

Your description is rather vague.....does the car crank but doesn't start? What do you mean by "car is dead"? Do you get dash lights when you turn the key?

car won't start ... pauses before cranking engine. no high idle
Yes, please tell us if replacing the CPS fixed this problem, and if you saw any error codes before the problem was fixed.
My car just started behaving like this today --
* when I started it first thing in the morning, it paused for a few seconds with a bit of ticking coming from the engine compartment, then it started up, but on low idle only (no cold high idle). I opened the engine compartment and heard a bit of rhythmic ticking from around the air cleaner area.
* I drove it down the street, and then turned around and went back home, figuring I'd better take another car since something might be on it's way out with this one. After reparking in the driveway I turned off the engine, then tried to restart it. This time, nothing.
