Bluetooth Ringer is way too loud..
Hello everyone,
I have a 2015 C300 Sport and have been having this issue since I got the car. I use an LG G3 as my mobile device for bluetooth connectivity, and it works perfectly in all aspects except when someone calls me. Every time someone calls me the ringer is insanely loud, to the point where I've almost gotten into an accident because of the surprise. I've tried everything and can't seem to figure out a fix. Any ideas?
Thanks.

Someone else had this issue and there is a tread on it probably a few pages back. I believe there is an update from MB that was done in order to solve this issue. I just picked up mine a few weeks ago and no issues. I was also built, not off the lot, if that makes a difference. Mine was probably done in the factory.

I made the original post that is linked above and I never could get it corrected with my HTC One M8 Android. However, I've since switched to an iPhone 6 and the bluetooth ringer is nice and normal -- NOTHING like it was with the other phone. So unfortunately, I think it has something to do with the individual phone's connectivity to the MB bluetooth system.

Just went to my local dealer, they updated it and the issue is fixed. Ask your dealer for the update and you will be so happy, ringer is pleasantly sounding and perfect volume to grab your attention yet not scare the living daylights out of you.

I was all over the other thread, borrowing phones from co-workers etc. I have to bring it to dealer for a disappearing tire pressure monitor and will ask about this. Thanks for the info Alliar. I'll report back in a week or three.

Now I am getting an issue where the COMAND touchpad does not work and is locked up (can't push down on any of the buttons) unless I restart the whole system by using the power button to turn the screen off and turn it back on again.
Can anyone else confirm whether or not this issue is tied to the recent software update or is just coincidentally occurring to my car only?

If it's not, schedule an appointment with your Mercedes Service advisor.

I want to try this but I am concerned with it reverting my update, thus requiring me to go back to my dealer to get it updated again. I could be totally wrong but I want to be sure before I reset and possibly lose my progress.
Doing this reset will maintain my current software version in the system, correct?
Sorry for the noobie question, haven't done much work with car software until recently.
Thanks for your help again, rbrylaw.

SOFTWARE UPDATE FIXED THE RINGER.
It has a new ring sound that is volume adjustable when someone is calling you and stays at the volume you have selected.
Saints be praised.
