I Need to know...please help

The pulley for my AC compressor is making noise and metal shavings are seen...what I want to know after releasing tension from belt..it was discovered the pulley was wobbly so needs replacing...can I just replaced just the pulley or does this mean the whole compressor needs to be replaced?

It's hard to answer your questions without trying to pull on the the AC compressor shaft. I would get the AC compressor pulley first, mount it and hope that your AC compressor is fine.

Do you have a schematic? What's best way to go at it thru the bottom or top?

Hi Vic, here is the document that I have that describes how to swap the AC Pulley on the W203 model with a 112 engine. This may be yet another option although if you are working with a used AC compressor unit, it may be less effort to just replace the entire unit rather than swapping the pulleys.

Question

My friends I haven't had a chance to get into this yet....I am hoping to atleast figure out IF the pulley on AC compressor can be taken off because I feel that it may be in way even if I get a shorter belt. I am looking at the pulley pdf Lenin provided and it appears as though it can be removed.

yes u can remove the pulley without taking the ac kompressor off. its 1 bolt in the center then u can remove the wheeel after that its a locking ring u have to remove then u can pill the bearing unit off. probably is it that bering u have to shange.
i have done this on my c 32 2001. its good to have a mirror so u can se.not much space down there....
