1989 Turbo Technics AMG 300CE 3.6
I wish that someone who claims to have a Merc I6 with 500HP-1000HP and turns 10K rpm ( yes many claims are out there ) would post real world performance figures.
I've posted my meager dyno chart which shows about 225rwp...but yet I can document 0-60 in the low to mid five seconds and with traction mid to high 13 quarters in the low 100's.
I would think even a 400rwp 124 would run low 4 second 60's and low to mid 12's and 115+....
The higher claims of mega power would be in the high 10's at 125+...
So why not back up claims ??????

Incidentally, I think it's the 2nd fastest Mercedes 1/4 mile recorded:
DragTimes Mercedes <=11.0sec
I would love to see what 0-60 and 1/4 mile times the two C36 turbo owners were able to achieve, since I have a similar car and have never taken it to the track.

Finally got it all together today. I have to button up some wiring and then drive it for a couple of weeks before I switch to the ported head on the stand. Then we will go to the dyno for a new baseline before I do the exhaust. New headers and complete exhaust on the way.

Nice! I ran similar times with my 43 when is was SC'd. My 60's were a little worse closer to 2.4-2.5. best ET was 13.1 and 112mph. That said if weight is similar to the W202 your hp and tq should be in the 300's I would think.
Good work.

NEW DYNO
Well finally got to the dyno and dialed in. 398.7whp and 383 whtq. Again the cam advance on made more power up untill around 5,000 rpm. New exhaust is working well as I am making power all the way up through the rpm. This is on e85 at around 15 degrees of timing. More timing made no more hp. Boost is still between 11.5-12.5 psi. No ice in the intercooler, so basically this is street hp. It is around 62-65 degrees today with high humidity.

My engine is completely stock except I opened up the intake port a little at the flange. I have found some literature at work that suggests that the later m104 engines were 9.2:1 but I had always thought they were all 10:1 as everyone else. I have been meaning to do a compression test and find out. There is a slight dish in the pistons. There early motors definitely had flat top pistons.

Hello Everybody,
I'm a new member but have read quite a few threads here. Good to see some excellent knowledge being shared. I have a M103 (12V) and want to slap a turbo on it. What is the maximum boost the stock CIS can support ?. I'm led to believe 6-7 psi is a safe bet. Thanks evryone for your input.

12.5 at 111.--
Ran a 12.511 and best trap was 113mph tonight. Maybe could have gotten in the 12.4- range but ran out of time and did not want to keep hotlapping.
