Matte Designo paint on a C63?
So I spent my time in search mode for this, but all I found were wrapped cars.
My question - is matte Designo paint available from the factory(ish) in the USA?

Unfortunately yes! For those who spent time /money wrapping like myself, 2011 C63's are available in designo matte black. At least in Canada for sure since my dealer already ordered one. I'm assuming that you guys in the states can get it if we can. Now I just regret not waiting since a wrap is never 100% perfect.

Even though wraps aren't perfect, I'm really considering regular paint & a wrap because once that matte paint gets chipped / scratched, it's going to be really hard to touch up.

It looks even better in person.
As for being a fad, many automakers are adding matte colors as a factory option. I view this more as an evolution of color selections which will be here to stay, just like metallics did.

Becareful with car washes though. Heard an awful story from House of Imports. They had a matte car shipped from Germany and one of the workers kept washing and waxing it wondering why he couldn't get it shiny. Later on he damaged the paint
