Painting calipers - help me pick.
Lately I've been considering painting my calipers. I've narrowed it down to three colors, red(P31), yellow or tangerine mist/orange?(SLS).
I'm leaning towards red.
tangerine mist
yellow
red
Keep in mind I just had my Forgestar powdercoated matte black so I was thinking of adding a little color to the vehicle to offset the black on black wheel/car color combo.
Agency Power tips in matte black too and their valvetronic exhaust.
My old wheels were gunmetal with a black pinstripe which were nice but I wanted a different look.

All the colors you named would look great. Ive always liked yellow calipers on black cars. I think orange or yellow would look killer!
Have you considered going with blue?

I vote orange--otherwise a few years from now, some dude will post a thread about having red calipers and wondering if he has P31
Yellow won't look good on a black car IMO.
I love my red calipers, but it is getting really played out on more and more AMGs.
My next AMG will have CC with orange stockers

The OP doesn't need P31...his car eats p31s and ***** them out for breakfast. I'd say don't go with red because it will signify perhaps having lowly p31 in regards to the level of your car. Plus as mentioned, red is played out and almost on every STI and riced out prelude, VW Jetta and Civic I see...
I've always thought Red is so wanna be Ferrari...
I vote mustard or dark orange...can't wait for pics.

I never knew you hated P31 cars so much--BTW who said he needed P31?
Anyway, I hope you haven't forgot to take your meds again

Now I'm really confused.
I started with red, shifted towards orange and now I'm really liking the blue.

orange looks great or blue, provided its the bright blue, not dark
by the way how to you plan on painting them to retain the black AMG lettering?

man, i would not reccomend painting them at all.
if you want it to look professional, ie like oem, have them powder coated, its expensive, but after seeing multiple attempts of guys painting their own calipers...? it always turns out looking cheesy. even with the caliper painting kits... still cheesy.
i had the oem calipers on my m5 powdercoated, and the results were amazing. better than oem, actually as the e60 m5's calipers werent powdercoated from the factory, as the amg's are, but painted.
