Wrap for C63
I have met a guy who does vinyl wraps for all sorts of exotics. He has offered me a price of 4K cash for them to pick up my car on a flatbed, fully detail the car inside and out, wrap the car by taking off parts such as door handles etc. They do very high quality work. Anyways the 4K was for a chrome wrap like in these pictures....
If I wanted a matte material it would cost about $1000 less.
What do you guys think of the chrome wrap? Do you think I should go in a different direction? Any input would be great!

That silver wrap looks like someone wants some attention. The entire effect is a bit too garish for my taste. Now a nice, lower key carbon fiber wrap might be another story.

To be honest, I think they want way to much for wraps in Toronto. It's still only a wrap and not a full paint job. You can actually get a great paint job for that price. Wraps are very cool but for that price....not

For a good wrap, expect to pay 4-5k. 4k is fair if he does an amazing job. I will be wrapping mine myself. I like doing everything myself especially when the materials are 800.00 max

I think that is a fair price for a wrap if they are pulling window trim off door handles, mirrors, bumpers tail lights etc. you cant get a good finish unless that is done, other wise you see edges etc and that is crap.

I'm not saying just anyone can do it, but its not hard by any means more so PITA. If you feel 4-5k is a good price for you, who is anyone to tell you it's not.
Here's my take for example. I walk into a wrap detail place and ask for a price on a mid-size car wrap. The guy tells me it depends on the graphics and advertisement that I want on the car. So I proceed to ask him about his method on wrapping the car....panels off, around windshields etc...he tells me they always do one process on wraps and he doesn't cut corners or half a$$ it. Sounds good right. I then ask him about a plain color wrap with maybe just letters on the driver and passenger doors, he tells me that this would be way cheaper because of such a plain wrap.
Now here comes my disapointment, I ask him how much for my c63, he smiles and says nice car, how about $4200 sound fair....I looked at him with the deer in the headlights look on my face and said are you f'ing crazy.
Well to say the least I felt like I was getting hosed so I took my company car to get wrapped at another place. (The real reason why I was there in the first place)

Sorry, forgot to mention that the company car with all the crazy graphics on the wrap was about a 1k cheaper.
I think its a really cool way to change the look of your car maybe from year to year but 4-5k is hella expensive. Especially with the guys on the other side of the pond doing it for like $1500-2k.

Don't do the chrome wrap Sajun!! Ur only asking for troubles with the cops.
By law, we're not even allowed to have reflective tint so a reflective wrap on the whole car is a big no no. They will ask u to remove it therefore u will have waste 4k$.

but it looks so cool! There actually is a guy with a CLS 55 in Ontario with the chrome wrap who was done by this company. Not sure how he gets away with it.

These two cars are local in LA and I've seen both cars, to be honest they don't look good in person specially the C63
I've seen many chromed cars in Dubai but they look cleaner because they do it different way than shops here which cost double the price around $8000-$10,000 this material get scratches so fast what they do is, they put the first layer chrome and the second layer clear bra to the whole car to keep it always clear and doesn't get scratches thats if you wanna do right
