Traded my C63 for a ............C63
Well guys, most people know, I had a C63 12/13. About 2 weeks ago, I was robbed on the spot, by 2 men with guns. I offered no resistance and let them have the car, as car I can get another, life nope. The car had a tracking device, however the motherf0ckers were experts, and managed to turn it off, preventing me from finding the location. Now it is all over I feel comfortable enough to talk about it. Insurance payed me about the price I bought the car new.
I bought a grey C63 with P31 12/12 for $150k. It had 7,000 miles, and the front bumper was painted (not because of crash, but because the car was used in roads, so it had lots of scratchs from rocks), and both mirrors changed for the old models one, as a motorcycler destroyed one, but they could not find the pair from the new model. I am looking to find them here. It still has extended warranty, and it was 250 miles away from home, so I got to drive it back to my garage. It was lovely. My longest journey yet with a C63. However the road was crap, and full of ****ing slow *******s with crappy cars. I was tailgating an ******* and flashing my lights on him for about 40 ****ing minutes (no chance for right lane overtake, too many trucks), as the douche would not go over 75 mph, and I wanted to go a lot faster. It drove me mad. However I managed to get a great stretch of open road, which I full throtlled just a bit, in C mode and I still managed to get 270 km/h, about 169 mp/h.

Damn that sucks about your car-jacking. Hope you enjoy your new ride and don't experience anything like that again.

Don't worry bro. It was my fault, I stopped on a traffic light at about 2.a.m. I had taken my son and his friend from a party to his friends house, and was coming back home. In the way, there was a traffic light between two large avenues. There was only my car there. I felt scared to go through the red traffic light, as cars there passed at extreme speeds. Then I look to the right, a Black Mitsubishi SUV blocks my way ahead, and a cheap VW popular car the way behind, and two masked f0ckers come out of the Mitsubishi and point their guns. They were exceedingly organized, I was amazed. Those were ****ing experts in jacking top end cars. There was nothing I could do.

Sounds like it's the wild west down there in South America.

Very rough sounding place to live. Glad you are OK and that they didn't shoot you just cuz they could or kidnap you. I had a friend who worked in Rio for a while and he never went out at night because he was told it was too dangerous after dark.

There were stories like this in which I heard but never believed. Although in my opinion this was for the best, as actually I was planning on selling it to avoid losing tonnes of money, and buying an older one, as this vehicle will be replaced by a new generation. It was very scary, and at the moment I actually thought it was a planned execution on me (happens a lot with businessman like me here). But don't worry South America is not wild, it just happens sometimes. I am lucky I drive regularly, and that happened only twice. There are people in which that happened 4 to 7 times, but in America that happens too.

Thanks Mort. I didn't have a lot of time to enjoy my past C63. I ran only 800 miles on it. Its performance surprised me from the beginning, although the finished, looks, itens, security, everything impressed me. This one, though I will use much more. This new one though is much prettier, and is color I wanted. I don't think I will ever reach its top speed of 290, as Brazilian roads are ****, and I only did 270 km/h as there was a douche in a Porsche Cayman S flashing his lights like a mad man, and I decided to teach him a lesson. When I got to 270, he was about a km behind haha.

Well guys, that is it. My impressions comparing a brand new model vs a used one with same key features and optionals is practically none. The car makes 0 noise like the other one, the ride is just as comfortable, and the engine of this new grey one, is even more responsive as it has been used more, and has been well cared. I am liking it even more. The car is lovely, and I plan of soon installing a retrofit of the Camera, Distronic+ and BSPA, with help of MBenzNL, and Brazilian Mercedes Benz maintenance dealer Comarc. Unfortunately now, money is not on my side so it will take some time.

Oi Pedro! Puxa ke locura!!!
Man I'm glad you are safe!! That is the most important thing. Those "ladroes" were expert as you mentioned. They were probably following you. Which area of SP were you?
Anyway as for your new ride take car of thes mirros ASAP !lol!
check this ==> https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w...um-silver.html
Although those are sold check with Matt frequently as he can get you mirrors for a good price.
You have the performance package therefore you feel the car more responsive. It should have LSD as well = a bit more traction
Enjoy the car safely

Thanks bro! It was a shock. I don't think they were following me, I just think they were near waiting for a victim with expensive car. I live in Pinheiros São Paulo, but I was jacked in Moema (famous area in jacking of exclusive cars). About the mirrors, I agree it looks pathetic, lol, I am getting it from a dealer. Mine has the LSD, and Performance Pack, but my old one already had it.

Thank you guys, for the support. Don't worry about it is just a one off. Insurance company was very quick, to pay me, and overall in less than 2 weeks I managed to solve everything. The new car is just as good, and I hope this weekend I can enjoy it a bit. What impressed me, was I never had travelled long distances with the car, (long journeys I tend to use the Jetta 2.0 TSi), however doing a long journey with the car is just fantastic. When I was cruising at 140 (85mph) -180 (115mph) km/h (speed I tend to use when I travel, as I don't want to spend 10 hours on the road) , the car was doing 10km/l which is 30mpg, and was running silk smooth in 7th gear, at 2.200 rpm. It was as economical as the Jetta which impressed me.

That's a scary experience. There are so many internet videos of dangerous encounters from Brazil.
169 mph on poor road condition?! You are brave, my friend. Really 30mpg at that cruising speed?...That doesn't seem possible with a M156 engine. The best I have been able to do is around 23mpg when crusing around 80 mph.

This is a video of the C63 I bought. Previous owner enjoying the car hehe (look at the guys that control the parking, very common in Brazil, and irritating, if you don't give them money, they scratch your car's painting). As you can see the only C63 facelift in the world with 2008 mirrors haha.

24mpg is quite good for an engine of this size. Sorry, I should have gone online first to convert the km/l to mpg myself.
So that guy is basically a parking hustler. I have seen similar videos of this types of people who collect money from motorists as if they own the parking spaces. What if you call the police on them? Will the police do anything?

I put Brazilian Podium Gas, equivalent to US Premium gas, with 101 octanes, and 20% alcohol and 25ppm of sulfur. I can only reach this excellent fuel consumption, because this fuel is perfect. If I put normal fuel, the car, feels away slower, besides consuming more.

Now the mpg, it is okay. I am pleased as it is a large engine, which consumes as much as any other normal car. I thought it was going to be much worst when I bought the car, but pleasantly enough the fuel consumption is okay.

Wherever you go for a gig, or football game or night club or F1 GP or any event you will encounter those parking guys.
I like the number plate on that c63
