AZ No Fly Zone
Just got MHP headers and a ESS tune on my car last week and was able to run it at the omega motorsports no fly zone event this past weekend. Had a blast, hit 142mph in the half mile with a roll on start of about 40mph.
Noticed a huge difference in how hard the car pulls but was somewhat disappointed in the top end performance. When i would get to around 130, the acceleration just wasnt there anymore, felt like the car was just running out of breath. I still have the stock intake with charcoal filter and oem air filter, maybe that is holding me up a bit... Also running on 91 oct fuel.
Oh and the car is friggin loud... Draws alot of attention for sure!

Glad to see someone invest in some headers, they are amazing!
A tip that might help is to open up the exhaust a bit to let it breath. Such as secondary cat delete, or a resonator delete. I just did secondaries and definitely noticed a difference up top forsure.

Ya the next thing I'm saving for is more exhaust work. I want to replace the secondary cats with some 200 cell high flow and replace the resonator with a high flow one. Not sure if I will have it fabbed up for me or if Ill just bite the bullet and get a premade system... Either way

Just ordered the MHP system tonight actually, including the hi-flow cats. Hoping I don't see a drop in top end pull? Not that I'm running around at high speeds on public roads, just want to keep driving characteristics the same as they are now, which to say is stellar lol

If you change out the secondaries with a properly sized mid, you will definitely feel your car continue to pull above 130. That seems to be the choking point for your exhaust setup. I have 200 cell cats/ARH mids/Xpipe and can tell you that the car pulls even with a regular non header tune. The engine revs a lot faster and smoother, as though it's been unhinged.

Interesting... I didn't know ESS has a tune available for our C63's! I wish i could have gone to the event and been with my old employer/shop (EVOMS). You were at the Goodspeed booth correct?

I was looking at pictures from the event and i saw a iridium silver C63 and thought heh someone has a car just like mine! We should meet up some time i'm in Mesa. I'm currently running a cat and resonator delete (straight pipes) and was thinking about getting MBH or ARH headers next!
