Are you guys burning any oil/adding oil?
Just curious if this motor sees burning oil. Every V8 I've owned... From E39 M5s to Z06 to E55 have all burned some oil in between changes - not much, but enough to need some to be added, just curious what the 6.2l motors are doing for others... My oil level seems fine in the 4 months or so I've owned the car.
Thank you for any feedback..

Discussed this issue with stealership a while back when my add oil message appeared.Wa told the 63 burns a little depending how hard you drive and totally normal to have to add a little oil between oil changes.

Yup and it's normal. It mostly gets gobbled up through the PCV.

These motors are know to burn quite a bit of oil. I was adding nearly a quart every 1000 miles or so.

For those that say they don't consume any oil at all. I either don't believe you, you don't know how to check oil level, or you drive your car like a hybrid Camry.
It's a physical trait of the PCV design. High rpm throttle lift = gobble gobble yum yum oil into the IM or catch can.

So my choices are:
1) I drive like a *****, OR
2) I'm not smart eough to check my oil, OR
3) I'm lying..... or all 3?
Hmmm I'll just stick by my initial statement.
Take it for what's it's worth in an internet forum friend.

Mind you, when someone says my car doesn't burn oil, that is not true, what they mean is that they never have to add oil. It may be 1/2 quart low when it's time to change oil and a lot of people here change oil a lot sooner than is recommended by the factory.

My first oil change at 10k KM, first top up 1litre at 8k KM
Second oil change at 21k KM, no top up
I am now at 32k KM, planing to get oil changed around 35k. oil level is quite steady so far.
I drive hard most days.
