AMG-LOL license tag?? not if you get your butt kicked!!

Driving back from the club today ran into a white M3 w/ license tag "AMG-LOL" in Dallas. I was just minding my biz, but the dude sidled over next to me and started motioning me to race. Not a great idea on trafficed roads w/ lots of traffic lights, but hey, can't let that license tag stand, can we??
Well, really too bad for the dude. Wrong AMG to take on v. a M3. Outcome predictable: just dusted him off in the 55. Nolo contendre!! Stopped at the next light and lowered the passenger window and made the obvious (sarcastic) comment: "M3- LOL, dude. Have a good day."
Wish it had been more exciting, but that was it; thrill for the day, gentlemen.

Why in heavens name would you want to own a fine automobile and put another brand's name on the vanity plate. Could that indicate a minority complex?

Not to mention that in an M3 you're outgunned by just about everything that rolls off an AMG assembly line.

If someone is gonna do a vanity plate exactly like that (AMG-LOL) to an e46 or e92 M3, then he better make sure he has one of the darnest fastest modded M3 out there! ...or at least close to it!

What a stupid thing to do! It's well known that the newer AMG models can beat many stock M cars on any given day. I like M3's too but I would never disrespect an AMG at all...

Ditto.
Both M and AMG marques are great in their own right. No reason to be disrespectful.

That said, I am glad chutia put him in his place.

Good kill story.

amazing....... i'd buy you a beer if you were in socal... 90% of bmw owners are such punks... there are only a handful of normal m3/m5 owners ...

visit m5board for eg... full of amg haters for no apparent reason

Was it an E46 or E92? Not that it matters, both would get there asses handed to him; just especially funny if it was an E46.

I believe an e92 M3 owner has the license tag "EATS AMG." I swear M3 drivers have the biggest ego's.

Thanks, gents. As in martial arts, there's no reason to denigrate anyone else's art or car. After all, as "our women" will tell us: "The only diff between men and boyz is the price of their toys." Too bad there are bro's like this around who carry their insecurity on their (license tag) sleeves.

No matter. There are a LOT of very decent, cool dudes who respect all high-perf cars regardless of "make or national origin." (That said, it was smirky fun to kick the AMG-LOL bro's car).

Elsewhere in this W219 blog re dyno's, I referred to a very cool bunch of guys in a high-perf cars club who don't car what make your car is as long as you are cool about it and just want to have fun and be respectful of having a BLAST!!!!!!

We have been monitoring "AMG-LOL" for some time. Others here have torched him!!! Funny I thought I had seen a similar plate here in So Cal on an M6. My plate also gets me in trouble but it is certainly not offensive to other makes and models. Funny story , thanks for sharing. Even modded M3's would have trouble with a healthy 55 especially one as mezmerizing as the SEE L S

Every time you look in your rear view mirror and you see a person 1/4 of an inch off your bumper it is always an M3 driver wanting to be a boy racer. Nice car but only ********s buy it.

I thought something sounded fishy when he posted that kill. It is a well known fact that M3's are hands down the fastest cars ever built....Ask anyone on M3forum.net if you don't believe me.

To be completely honest, in the few months I've had the CLS63, I swear EVERY M3 that see's my car makes it a point to swerve across traffic and pass me while flooring it. I love Jeremy Clarkson's view on M3 drivers....

I have an M3 as well as an AMG. They are both great cars, and they both have very unique strengths..... and weaknesses.

I track both my M3 and SL55. The M3 is quicker through the corners, but falls behind on the straights. The SL55 has a bit of an artificial feel to it, but overall lap times usually favor the SL55.
