RaceChip tuning. Please share your experience.
Hello Diesel owners.
Does anybody have experience of using RaceChip on diesel engine ? Can you share it ? I'd like to buy it for my 2015 GL350. Does it really worth it ? Is there any noticeable power and MPG improvement ?
Here is the link : http://www.racechip-usa.com/chiptuni...S-Spec)-179kw/
Thank you.

ok p0490 code is related.
i turned it up too far
the company said that is what happens when you reach limit of the chip/car
so i turned it down and problem went away
too soon to tell about the mileage claims though

Sideout... the chip so far is working very well,
i am still turning it up for more power ,
it requires turning it up then driving for a while to make sure no check engine lights so its a slow process
big power increase and my dash mpg meter is recording about 2 mpg increase overall
so far very nice upgrade
still playing with the settings

racechip experience
I installed the Racechip about 4k miles ago. Overall experience has been OK. You can notice the increased torque and HP when you punch it from a stop. Most of my driving is highway type and either I have gotten use to it or not, I have forgotten its there.
My computer says my MPG went up but not sure that translates into actual or not. Measuring at the pump isnt as consistent as gas due to the diesel foaming etc.
Installation is straight forward and simple. Take a little time to route properly and you cant notice anything was ever changed.
Overall its an OK upgrade for not a lot of $$$. I would do it again.

Thank you for the update. Which model have you bought ? They keep telling me that only Ultimate ( the one that cost $599) is good for 2014 and up.

i had to turn mine down because of check engine lights namely egr current high
the company said this is the chip at its limit
so i turned it down till check engine lights stopped coming on and now the power increase is not as much as i like
not seeing much fuel mileage changes since i turned it down which thought it would go up seeing i turned the chip down
i dunno, kinda confused with it

I am using Kleeman KD Box for some many years (on different cars) and I am very satisfied with performance.

There's no dispute... take the kleeman sticker off of a first gen KD-Box and it has an embossed DieselPower logo. I've owned both. I called out Cory@Kleeman across multiple forums and threads and he never once responded to me. Kleeman also charged like twice as much.
