Trunk lid not lifting - A207 E350CDi Cabriolet
Does anyone know how to change the tension of the springs to make the trunk lid lift when the unlock key is press on the remote fob?
Mine unlocks remotely but without lifting / rising...
These are two spring lifts:

Boot springs
My cabriolet is a different model but has the same trunk release function on its fob. My trunk pops open with the function of the fob, but the lid does not open to a full open position. I have to lift the lid to have full access to the trunk. Do you expect yours to open completely?

Thanks Tar. Yes. The trunk fully lifted and opened more often during the first few months after I purchased the vehicle...
...are there any E class cab owners who can offer their experiences?

I did take some white grease and greased the linkage poles in their connections and it did help a little. Personally I think its just weakened lift springs (item 11 in the chart) that is not giving the lift once opened. Again just my humble opinion. Another option is to remove the linkage poles, grease the socket and place them back. Springs etc can be ordered I suppose if you so desire to replace.. This is the chart for the 2011 E350 Cab like I have...

Same issue here, but it was that when I purchased it... Kinda like it that way to be honest. I will check to see if there are any adjustments that can be made. Mike
