I think this car is an E500 with a amg sport package. You can run the VIN on car fax and it will show what the model is and there are other websites that you can plug in the VIN and get info on the make and model.

The sport pkg does not come with an AMG badge on the trunk. Also, the interior does not look like an AMG. Your E550 has the sport pkg. and someone most likely changed the nav startup screen with the hack that is available in the forum.

I read a post here a few years ago about how dealerships were ordering wheels and badges then installing them on Non AMG cars to get a better price. There are ALOT of AMG E350s floating around Washington DC.

HAHA. Wife and I were out a few weeks ago and this obnoxiously loud "Mustang GT" pull up next to us and started revving. I had the windows down and it was really bad. Anyway we get to the next light and I hold the CDI right around 1500rpm for a light launch. We take off and are on the highway before his stupid loud Mustang is half way down the ramp. Sound is great, but you need something to back it up. I prefer being nearly silent and smokeless Off topic, I know.

With the E's there's sport package and amg sports package. From what I've seen, amg sports packages tends to come with the 5 spoke wheels with the ///amg logo on it along with a slightly different front bumper compared to just the sport or amg model.

How to change comand logo to amg on 2009 E350
Need to know if we can hack into the 2009 E350 AMG nav screen to change things like video while driving and MB logo to AMG logo at startup.
Cannot find any videos on the newer 2009 hidden menu screen.
Any help would be sweet!

this is true but I read that all those amg badges you see on non amg cars are all aftermarket... that the company amg nor merceded place a amg badge on a non amg car, even if the car has the stock amg sports package... anyways that's what I read

I don't believe I mentioned anything about badges. I was talking about the amg sports package E's, which comes with the ///amg logo stamped onto one of the spokes of the wheels. But you are sort of correct, MB does not badge non amg cars out the factory, at least in our older generation of cars. These new generations of cars coming out today with the amg sport package will come with the ''sport ///amg'' logo on side fender, where it would normally say ''v8 biturbo" or "blueefficiency", but guaranteed no amg badge on the trunk.
