Best Discount for MB Extended Warranty

Yes, I had received info from you and I can touch base again. Your quote matched another that included the sales tax. I look at the EW as a commodity if I choose to buy it, meaning it's the same coverage wherever I get it, therefore lowest cost wins. I wish that the true base cost would be posted, add $100 for an hour of time and we are done, right now the real cost seems a bit fuzzy.

I am thinking about canceling mine asap or asking for price adjustment from the dealership. I bought a new c300 end of last month, MB factory warranty(i think this is the 4yr included, plus extra 3yr ELW) for 7yr/75k miles for $2,795 and Prepaid maintenance 4yr/40k T1 $1795. Every post is different..not sure what to do. I want to call the finance guy asap.

Hey I posted this as a topic and didn't get any response. I figured I'd try it here for some feedback.
Currently only have 1800 miles on my 2015 CLS, after three months of ownership, so this is for research. But I do plan on keeping the car 5 years or longer. I see so many post about the expensive repairs cost on these cars. I am worried about warranty coverage for the car if it needs repairs. I did not opt to take any from dealership. But I am a Geico policy holder and it is only $6.00 a month for mechanical breakdowns insurance coverage. I can wait until the 15 month or 15,00 miles before I have to opt in to coverage. Two points I like the most I can keep it until the car reaches 7 years or 100,000 miles. And the fact that you don't have to pay upfront for coverage in case I do not keep the car. Looking for any thoughts pro or con or if anyone has experience with Geico MBI.

ML350 ELW
I reached out to Jason Mayes this morning for details on the ELW and he was extremely responsive. His price was 20% less compared to the quote I received from my local dealer. Processed the warranty the same day. Thank You JASON !!!

We have 2012 ML350 BlueTec.
We got a discount on our 100K warranty from MBUSA due to issues we have been having with our car. Many, many, many issues.
The discount was for $1,000 off whatever dealership price we could get.
I called 4 dealers in our area (Seattle, Washington area). Every single one had a different quote from $4,600 to $5,750.
Then I called several dealerships in other states. And got quotes from $4,000 to $5,600.
Something to always keep in mind... Every dealer told me that since we were buying the warranty after 30 day grace period from purchase date of the car, we would need to also pay 15% mark up from the original price of the warranty.
So if you are buying a new car, I would opt for getting extended warranty right away (unless you are not planning on keeping as long as 4 years/50K).
So next time we buy a Mercedes, we will be getting extended warranty at the beginning, since we normally keep our cars between 10-15 years.
Another thing to keep in mind... I was told that I can get the warranty anywhere in the Country. So if you live in California & you found a better price in New York, then they can do that & you don't have to be present for it. Transaction can be done over the phone.
So call other dealers & make sure you are getting the best deal. Also, keep in mind, if you buy MB warranty, it's valid in the entire continental US. It excludes Alaska & Hawaii & is not valid in Canada. At least that's what every dealer I spoke with told us. Not a very good thing especially for States on the border with Canada since a lot of us travel there frequently.

I just bought my 3rd extended warranty from an out-of-state dealer. I got the last 2 from Erin Mahre. She beat 2 of the others on this thread by more than $100. They also wanted to charge me sales tax for some reason. She has always been helpful and unbelievably nice; I probably would have gotten the first warranty from her, but I had a hard time getting a hold of her and had a time constraint to buy before my original warranty expired.
As an aside, the warranty has paid off many times over for our GL350. After 70k miles, I had a stretched timing chain replaced, and just had a turbo and complete engine replaced. I've come to the conclusion that I won't keep a German car out of warranty. Since I like to keep cars, I get the extended warranties to allow me to get a couple extra years and more miles.

MB C Class EXTENDED WARRANTY
A happy customer of Marc Rose at W.I. Simonson MB dealership of Santa Monica, CA. His historical quotes for C Class is here https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...elw-deals.html. Since his price is the lowest for 7/75 coverage for my new 2015 C300 ($1600), I called him, mentioned mbworld.org and competed the transaction over phone in 10 minutes.
Working with him is super easy and quick. I highly recommend Marc - he will need the last 7 digits of your VIN# and mileage to get the paper work done. He prefer you to call his cell phone at 818-266-4305 (note the time zone difference since he is in California).

Did he charge you the 15% surcharge ?

Erin Mahre is the best
What a wonderful person she is. I just got a 2014 S550 and the ELW is $4,695 retail and dealers in Florida cannot discount so I checked with Jason Mayes and got a good quote, then got a better one from Jeff Jackson in KY then Erin was able to match that.
Her goal is to make about $100 for her dealer and she is happy to help people out .
My suggestion is to learn all you can here on the boards where every question has already been asked and (extensively) answered then call one of those 3 and have your card ready.
One part I have not seen discussed is that if you trade the car in you can get a refund.
