I just finished polling every MB salespeson listed on this site plus every MB dealer in the state of California, all of Oregon, most Arizona and all Nevada. I have posted the lowest prices with contact names and phone numbers. These prices are the within 30 days from purchase price.

Finally bought my MB ELW today for my 2015 C300 (with 2 days to spare). My wife and I share 3 cars so none of the cars get a ton of miles yearly. That's why I went with the 7 year/75K mile warranty. Here is the best news, I paid $1600 for it. That is $100 over dealer cost. The transaction was done in minutes over the phone. All they needed is your VIN and a credit card.

So, if you want the best deal out there, and I did my research, contact Marc Rose at W.I. Simonson Mercedes-Benz in Santa Monica, California. He will sell you whichever genuine MB ELW you want for $100 over his cost. His phone number is 310-829-4511 Ext 206. BTW, he did not ask for my endorsement. I just thought some of you might want to know.

Here is the pricing (cars with in service date within 30 days of purchase):
7yr/100K = $2600
7yr/75K = $1600
6yr/100K = $1850
6yr/75K = $1300

There is a 15% surcharge after 30 days.

All warranties are 100% refundable any time prior to the expiration of the 4yr/50K new car warranty. This is what convinced me to go with my purchase. If you sell the car after the new car factory warranty is up, you can either receive a pro-rated refund or transfer the warranty to the new owner.

Another happy customer of Marc Rose at W.I. Simonson Mercedes-Benz in Santa Monica, California. Got my 7yr/100K mi extended Warranty today. He is a great gentleman to work with and it took about 5 minutes to process. No hassel, no pain (just the credit card) but it is well worth the money and it is the lowest I found.

For information, you are allowed to buy MB EW at anytime before the regular MB warranty is up and up to 30 days after purchase from any dealer in the US without the 15% up-charge so don't let any finance manager tell you otherwise.

I also just purchased an extended warranty from Marc Rose @ W.I Simonson. Mark was very fair and easy to deal with. As previously mentioned, the process only takes a few minutes.

I wasn't sure if this was ligit, so I looked up W.I Simonson in Santa Monica on MB's website, and called the general number and asked for Marc. If you're comtemplating an extended warranty, Marc is the way to go. It doesn't matter where in the US you purchased the car. You can save a few bucks, and let Marc make some $ too.

If you buy the ELW, and you're not in the extended period, what is the fee to cancel the coverage? I know there's also a small fee to transfer the warranty to a new owner if you sell it. Anyone know?

Do you receive any documentation when you go with the ELW or does it just show up on the dealers computer?

I believed it will be fully refunded if not in the extended period and it is prorated for the period that are not used; both no fees. However, I do not know if there is any fee associated with transfer of owner. They will be sending my documentation in the mail for proof of purchase, I'm sure it will appears in the MB computer system since they have all my info with the VIN# and will needed for future EW repair.


@mmaldin, my original finance manager told me that Wheel and Tire Protection needs to be purchase at the same day of car purchase so I don't think Marc or any other dealer could help you other than the original dealer for the car. Of course I could be wrong.

I just got my ELW paperwork from Marc Rose today. So, in my case it took 10 days from purchase. The document is not clear on cost to transfer warranty to another party, although it clearly states that such a transfer can be made. Yes. There are no fees for cancelling the ELW.

I got the ELW today from Marc, and he also sent across the documents online for quicker access on my request. Frankly speaking, Marc was really helpful wrt ELW.

@mmaldin, I was told by FM that perma protection, tire and wheel protection can only be taken before you take the delivery of the car. So you maybe out of luck there.

Is this warranty standard across all MB dealers or each dealer can have different inclusions/exclusions and provide different level of service?

is there any deductible in case at a later point of time if I'd need to use the warranty? and any labor charges?

It's the same warranty as the one that comes with the car (4yrs / 50K miles); for 7 yr / 100K mi ELW, it just extended for another 3 years and up to 100K miles whichever come first. So if you're not getting hit with deductible or labor charges during the existing warranty period, you won't get it during the extended period either.

With all the issues on the W205s, I am now considering purchasing the extended warranty. What do you guys mean that it is fully refundable? If you don't ever use it, you can get your money back? Or you can return it?

Planning on giving my dealer a chance to match the above prices and if they cannot, guess I will give Marc a call . Thanks for the contact info.

Also I am moving to Los Angeles soon due to my job. I can use the warranty at any dealership right?

1) you can cancel it before the 4 yr/50k mile factory warranty expires and get a full refund. If you cancel it after the factory 4 yr/50k mile warranty expired then you will get pro-rated refund.

2) you can use the warranty at any MB dealership in the USA.

Marc Rose is very professional in his dealings as well as prompt in all of his correspondence regarding an extended warranty for my C400. The process
is quite easy after determining which combination of years and mileage you decide on. My local dealer's demeanor was not as exemplar as Marcs which is why I chose to work with him on the West Coast. I too would agree with the prior posters and would recommend you give him a call in your decision making.

The entire transaction was as smooth as previously documented here. A little over five minutes on the phone and I had all the paper work within five days. On Monday, I purchased over the telephone a 6yr/100k mile ELW through Marc Rose Fianance Mgr. at W.I. Simonson MB in Santa Monica, CA. I called the dealership main number and asked for Marc, but once we connected he indicated that mobile contact is preferable due to his daily workload (818) 266-4305. I'm awaiting the paper work, which he indocated he would mail, but the initial process was seamless and he was very helpful in explaining other coverage options.

Review placed before I've received the paperwork back. I'll come back to update once I get it.

Same pricing as above, easy and fast purchase of the EW and prepaid service with Marc Rose (818-266-4305) at WI Simonson. He prefers his mobile be used and that east coasters mind the time difference (why do you live out there anyway?). I went with the 7/75k for $1600.

Just grab your vin and call him.
