Passenger seat
On my 2010 I noticed when I lift the rear seat to get into the 3rd row the passenger seat doesn't move forward automatically like my 2011. Does anyone know what can't be wrong?

Out Of Control!!
I guess the other option would be the switch that tell the controller the rear seat is lifted, or the wiring between.

It may be the controller because the cluster does notify me the rear seat is not locked in position while up

Are you saying that when you open the second row to gain access to the third row, that the front passenger seat automatically moves forward on your 2011? My 2010 has never done this, wondering if they added it in '11? Can anyone confirm?

I think they all do. I regret not testing it out before I bought it. Hopefully it's not something too expensive or crazy to figure out. I hate having something tHat doesn't work 100%. I have OCD I guess lol.

Found this in an old post from '11 as to why the passenger seat stopped moving forward when the 2nd row is folded forward to provide access to the third row:
The feature stopped working on my 09 for about three months and I asked my SA to look into it. While they couldn't find out why it stopped working they were able to "reset" the rear SAM and turn it back on. They said that once the SAM gets a fault, it turns the feature off and it remains off until it is reset.

Out Of Control!!
The SAM is the box that converts the commands on the CAN (Car Area Network) to commands that control lights and reads switches and puts their information on he CAN.
Our cars have "Networks". I think we have two, (front and rear) but lots of devices reside on the network and don't use a SAM.
My guess is the rear seat switch is read by the rear SAM and the front seat controller resides directly in the network.
A passage front seat controller is about $450. (Yep, a whole control module just for the front seat and its memory positions.)
Got to love those Germans!

Just to close the loop on this and clarify for others. I bought a 2010 GL CPO and the front passenger seat never automatically moved forward when you opened the 2nd row to access the third. Always thought this was a PITA because you'd have to manually move the front passenger seat forward to allow enough space to fold the second row down.
Saw these posts and thought something might not be working correctly on my car. Dealer tells me the front passenger seat only moves forward automatically if you have a memory seat on the front passenger seat. Mine is power, but not memory. So this feature will not work on my vehicle.
