Michelin XWX 6.9
Interested in just tyres but will look at wheels and tyres also. Sorry, made a mistake with the size and it should have read 215/70-14. Thnak you for the previous poster for bringing that to my attention. Can you email at ~~ salarodd@comcast.net ~~ with what you have please?

You actually have a couple of very good choices for the 205/70/14 size. There are two V rated tires available, one being the FULDA ASSURO, and the second being the Vredestein Sprint Classic.
I would go with the Fulda Assuro as it is modern performance touring tire.

There is only really one option which is the Michelin https://www.borrani.com/tyres/215-70x14.html any other option is not a period tyre and therefore developed to be used with a more modern car so the XWX will make a '70s car handle at it's best.
The other options won't suit the car as well the only reason to buy anything other than XWX is because it is cheap.

It might be worth mentioning that these tyres are W rated not V. They tend to write V on the side wall, because that is what it had in the day, but they qualify for the W rating that wasn't around in the '70s.
Please bare in mind these tyres are built with all the advantages of modern materials and quality control, however importantly they are built with an appropriate carcass structure to suit your cars. modern tyres are built to react well to a different environment.
