AMG C63s Tire Size increase
Has anyone installed a wider tire set on their C63s? It looks like increasing the rears to a 285 and the fronts to 265 might be tight, but it sure could use a little more rubber on the road!

I just put new tyres on recently, stuck with the Michelins, stock standard size on front but went with 285/35s on the rear. Wish I had done it sooner, grip is fantastic, and the look is even better. Clearance is tight on the inside corners but nothing moves, haven't had any scrubbing issues yet with a fully loaded boot. I will probably drop back to a Michelin 285/30 next time I go around but still no issues with the '35 profile.

Standard we have 285's on the rear with the coupe... I wonder what we can get under the rear of those.
I might have to leave it too Sanch to find out

285s on the coupe work a treat, should come factory for the other variants too!

They definitely fit, have spent almost a week in them now and no problems at all. Will head back into Merc in a week to confirm there is no minor scrubbing anywhere.

Unless you are talking about the Coupe, then I have no clue, it's a different **** end with the wider track!

Haha, maybe.. The rear inside corners appear to be the clearance issue. I only have about 5-7mm of clearance in those corners with the 285/35s, which is why I will go a 285/30 next time around. Perhaps if you remove the lining you might have more luck with a 305 on a 10.5?

The sedan has 9.5" rears, is the coupe getting 10.5" rears?
I wonder if these 10.5" rims will be available to buy or even if they will fit on sedan.
King Monkey, can you confirm that you have 305's on the rear of your sedan and if they are fitted to factory 9.5" wheels or aftermarket larger wheels and what profile are you running, 30 or 35?
I was considering fitting 295/30/19's but it would be great if we could hear from someone who can 100% confirm that they have done this with no issues.

I'll be happy with 295s on stock
Eventually I plan to change the wheels, would be great to see what fits on the car!

I just checked the offsets.
Sedan rear - 9.5 J x 19 ET56
Coupe rear - 10.5 J x 20 ET57
Offsets will work with the sedan - only concern would be the 20" wheels (unless you can order the 19" from other markets) our coupes only get the 19/20 options.
Good luck and keep us posted

+1 , I heard the limit for rear would be 275. however, some guys on here are running 285s on the rear with stock wheels, I'm not sure if that works out without any issues.

Hi just bought my first AmG c63s. currently owned c400 too.. i know they don't share the same specs correct me if am wrong but they have the same body i was thinking c63 has more room for wider tires. my w205 c400 is currently using 285 rears 20s and 245 front 20s i guess 285/295 on AMG sedan should not be a problem? any thoughts
my old c400 i made it look like AMG car looks so aggressive with 285 rear

Yes, I definitely want more rubber on the road, and I'm trying to see if I can go up to 295 with wheel change. Knowing that 285/35/19 on stock wheels work at the rear definitely helps.
