Features I wish my W222 had...semi real

1. Rear sunshade retracting automatically when in reverse. My 2011 Jaguar had this feature. Auto down in reverse, and auto up in drive. I think it stayed down if it was previously down, but I can't remember.
2. Extended windshield washer from magic vision wipers. It's on the W223, I wish this was on the W222.
3. Front and Rear cameras turned into dashcams while driving. Again, the front camera on the W223 can be used as a dashcam. I wish there was a way to turn this on for the W222.
4. Remote start from the keyfob, although the app isn't a bad option, I just don't like paying a subscription fee for it.
5. Mercedes Automated Parking, like what's shown in the videos:
If a smart coder guy can develop these features I'll go for it. What about you guys.

I also know that there was a company in IL in the north-west working on remote start feature from the keyfob for the W222 (they were dragging their feet a few years ago for 2 years in a row saying that they will release that next month, following month, etc, and I’d imagine that must have already released that product… still it’s a retrofit not a coding thing).

As far as enabling camera view at higher speeds, that's an easy change (that was my guess). I just asked @EleBest moments ago while typing here, and he confirmed that it can be done.

That reminds me of how around in 2016 Hyundai had better self driving features than MB. MB has caught up, and possibly moved ahead, but that wasn't the sase back then.

we can do this since ever but do not recommend it
This is known since centuries and that is why we don't recommend it.
waste of time and money

6. Right-side camera view whenever you operate the turn signal lever to the right, and same for the left. That way you can keep your eyes ahead instead of looking so far over.

I can gladly disagree with the #1 option on the retracting rear sunshade . Yes, it could have been a neat feature but I have driven various Mercedes-Benz models and none of them have made me think about it or regret not having it . I can easily see the rear even in darker conditions with the rear sunshade fully open .
One thing however would be very useful (seen on W177 A Sedan ) : Traffic light view on the display . It's a very useful feature and no need to turn your head into various shapes just to be able to view the traffic lights if your view is obstructed by any object .

In terms of dashcams, it's cool to have them but the big problem is the license plate reading
I have been digging and the best I found, super cheap, dual camera system front is UltraDash Z3S + you can add rear
Go take a look on youtube, I only use these

Two solid options are the 1. VIOFO A139 Pro or 2. Nextbase 622GW elite package (front and rear cams); other excellent and well known options: 3. Thinkware U3000 2CH; 4. Blackvue DR970X 2 CH. You really want a 4K front camera at least, so make sure to get that (2K+2K is trash). For the sides, if you are willing to invest, I'd get the garmin mini 2 (they set flush on the screen and very small without screen). See example attached in the BMW X7.
Good luck Carlos. Alternatively, if you don't want to invest premium, at least get a 4K front camera from BestBuy, and in this case I'd go with Rexing - V1P Flex X4 4K WiFi Dual Dash Cam for $179. Here is the link: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/rexing-...?skuId=6582494 --> It has 4K front camera even if you add/use the optional rear 1K camera.
I had the VIOFO A139 Pro in my X7 and moved it to the X5, and I have the garmin mini 2 for the sides in the X5 and X7, and in the GLS I have the Rexing - V1P Flex X4 4K WiFi Dual Dash Cam. Nothing needed in my Tesla with HW4 (24/7 monitoring by a set of factory built-in 6 cameras all around).

I'm totally open to hardware suggestions, thanks! I took a look at the Rexing and it looks like a decent setup. But I'm afraid it's too large and will block my view. My budget is open, just want to get a reliable camera that has features that are worth the price.
More importantly, one of the questions is where to mount it. Maybe I'll find another thread on the forum where somebody mounted cameras.

Dual-action trunk release/opener: Like the rear window switches, first operation of the switch just releases the trunk lid and a second one opens it all the way. Often, all I want is to release the lid, like if it's raining or someone is standing close behind the car.
Automated garage parking: I would love it if the sensors could learn or detect my garage door opening, the position of my wife's car, etc and pull in, stop the car and put in it 'P' in exactly the ideal position. That's a function you could use every time you drive the car!
