Thanks very much.
I looked at Peter's dyno runs. All had the blower on them. I think he never found out why he never made the power that Abalone had achieved.
Fahrer, I look forward to seeing the runs. Make sure your ECU is freshly reset* (within a day or two) and you have let the trans do 40-50 shifts after the reset before you make your run. In my experience, this is the freshest setup for a car with a finicky ECU.
*the way I do it:
1. Car warmed up, engine off, windows up, no lights, no radio, no heating/cooling. Nothing on, no electrical loading during process.
2. Key in, turn to "Run" (not started).
3. Pedal all the way to floor, including extra travel at very bottom (floormat out of the way) and hold for 15 seconds.
4. Still holding pedal to the floor, turn key to OFF but do not remove.
5. Release pedal, still leaving key in.
6. Wait 2 minutes, do not remove key, do not turn anything on, or open any doors, etc, no electrical loading.
7. Remove key.
8. Reinsert key, drive car for a few minutes under normal driving conditions.

If your getting your car ready for a dyno run you have to completely disable your traction control (inside engine bay) if not your numbers will be off due to it's never completely disengage. Even with it off-
I would do a search for you guys but on my phone.
Snooze I would love to see you get one. Have you done your ignition plugs/spark plugs? I think you said you were getting them done. dyno before tune and after ftw: )
Let me know when you go I'll make the ride over. Need to visit the nephew

I could be wrong but I think the 302/311 was a baseline stock run. AFAIK that run was dyno'd at Carbconn where I watched two other 55NA CLK's (208 and 209) dyno pretty close to those same numbers on a different day.

I don't think so. Look at boost. It says 1.9. To me that means they were running it a low boost, not NA.

Dyno is booked two weeks from tomorrow for the E55 and whatever else I feel like taking. Maybe the S65 if it's back from Europe. I'll have to play around with the E55 and see what needs to be done to fully disable the traction control without enabling limp mode. I will post up results when it's complete. The dyno I use is a Dyno Jet. We use it on all the race cars as well as for tuning purposes. It has wideband capability so I will report what that is at as well.

Then i might get a dyno before the tune. Problem is try to find time to do all that as I plan on doing these myself. After the change of plugs and wires, i really dont want to take my car to the shop unless I have to as it is never the same, doing your own car (take better care) then some other person handling it. The last time when I get the pulley install, he accidentally broke the handle off my oil dipstick (have to get another one from the dealer...cost me extra money that I dont need to spend.

Thanks! I'm in the midst of a massive tune up (OEM parts only don't worry!), so once I have it back together tomorrow I will let you know how I make out with the ESP. Hmm... I wonder why MB didn't just give the cars ESPN? I think ESPN is about as useful as ESP. Anybody that can't handle 350hp without traction control programs shouldn't buy one of these cars...... oh dear here I go ranting again... one of those days apparently
