Give up and go to w212?
As a few of you guys know, I've been looking for a 211 63 or 55 wagon with the third row bench and a few other bits. I really, REALLY dislike buying first model year cars from any mfg, especially since the 212 platform is so untested whereas the 211 has been proven to no end.
But, I can order a 212 tomorrow and call it a day. So, 211 fans, talk me out of this.

As a die hard fan of the w211 and the w211 wagon... I cant wait to pick up a w212 as a daily and go crazy with the w211. For little work you could have a 10sec wagon. Do it.

Dont forget the M157 engine- freaking awesome TT engine that will pop 600 hp with a simple tune. I already have two TT's I love the engine- never thought Id say I like it more than the E55K but I do.
W212 is win all day wagon style (I got one ) I actually think it might be faster from a dig (just mash and go) than my CLSTT... its so planted. In big bends and sharp turns it feels like a sedan. Hitting speeds of 150 plus is ultra comfortable and the car is flat out situated/stable. Amazing dynamics for a car looking like it should not have such attributes.
Did I mention the sound of the M157 with a resonator delete? Stupid great. The car roars with one simple mod. It sounds much better than my NA E63 (which has post cat and resonator delete).
Lets see... what else... did I mention it will trap almost 119 stock (see MT) and 0-60 in 3.90 seconds WTF!!!!!! Ill be posting pics of mine once I drop it and get my wheels.

I should have known better than to ask you jokers to spend my cash
I'm still super tempted to do that maser touring-bodied wagon that they did @ villa d'este a couple years back. problem is the maser is slooooooow.
the real question is - what do you do with an FF and a 212? i guess the 212 isn't awd, so the F-FF becomes the snow car.

212 TT Wagon
There is a new 212 P30 wagon on Ebay, in white, and it looks nice!
IMO the 212 sedans are.....well.....ugly, just my opinion, but they have not grown one iota on me styling wise. With the 212 wagon though, it all seems to come together, not sure exactly why but it looks a whole lot better to my eyes.
I will own an iteration of the 5.5TT motor before too long, the power and torque are just plain irresistable, but it may be a CLS for me next time.
Get that 212 wagon, tune it, and you will have a awesome machine.

They are two different animals serving the same master with different intent.

No brainer, the 997TT with PDK is faster and handles better than any TT Benz in stock format. The P car does 0-60 in under 3 seconds, 0-100 in mid 6's and traps 128mph (stock). So there is better handling and power (my P car has the EvomsIT tune so it has more hp and tq than 997TT- S. So if its for driving experience in general the Porsche wins hands down.
