OK, 4 litre, smaller more light weight motor cool.....but all I'm concerned about is......how much can we push through it HP and Torque before it goes bang

Yes but that GT motor is a pearler in a lightweight design. over 500hp naturally aspirated and beautifully balanced. Imagine if they paired it with an electric motor in a sports sedan - the combination could be lethal. It seems an obvious progression/evolution to me? Just speculating...

Keep in mind this is not just an AMG version of a Mercedes model; it is actually an AMG vehicle like the SLS and the GT.

Anything could happen between now and release date though.

I considered all AMG sedans "super sedans". IMO these "S AMGs" are degrading the AMG brand itself. AMG will be officially sold out when they make a Black Series sedan because at that point we'll be seeing S AMG GLs and Black Series GLAs...

Have you heard the tt 4.0?? It sounds wicked , better than E55 and some say better than the famous m156 sound. Personally after driving a GT-S , I would agree.

Oh and major power to be had.

I looked it up, 4475lbs. That is fast, but that has got to be a high stress motor. How much more could you really push it and expect it to last.

Well, it's basically two cla 45 engines with a common block and crank. Doing the math, 710hp should be very reliable. Closed deck block with deep skirt mains. I think they will find the limit on fueling with the DI before the find the limit of the block.

Exactly... But no worries. It's only a $35,000 engine if you need to replace it... Not including labor

Yep. The SUV-coupe needs to die. The BMW X6, Acura ZDX and whatever others are just butt ugly. Even a modded X6M is still ugly. This GLC will not advance the segment.

Nah, I'd rather an 11 second AWD minivan. A V63S AMG.

I'd sell the T&C and the CLK63 cab and be back to just one vehicle. Sportish car, and work truck all in one. lol

R63 not big enough. has to fit a 4x8 and tall enough to pile full of tools... compressor, table saw, tile saw, trash cans, ladders, boxes of flooring, etc etc etc.

The V class is a euro minivan. I keep hearing it's coming, but it never does.

To be fair, at almost 60k, for the beating it would take, I'd probably end up keeping the T&C.
