Mercedes-Benz C450 AMG Sport Is One Fast Poser

While many have voiced their opinions on the upcoming Mercedes AMG Sport Line cars, most coming to the conclusion that they will dilute the brand, you cannot argue with the level of performance of these mini AMGs.

Here to demonstrate that is the video below from Ausfahrt, a German automotive publication performing the first 0-62 mph test on the new C450 AMG Sport. For what it is, the speed this car displays is fairly impressive. While this still won’t convert the diehard AMG loyalists, it should quell some of their fears about this particular branding exercise truly diluting the brand’s reputation.

At the very least we should consider these cars as AMG-lites. They’re not true barn storming psychopaths hell bent on destroying tires, but they’re certainly not dainty little cars either. I think this video perfectly illustrates the fact that Mercedes hasn’t watered the cars down all that much at all, and that we should at least entertain the idea that these are real performance cars.
