W205 C63 S Walks Off and Leaves F80 BMW M3
Ok, let’s go ahead and get the PSA out of the way first. Street racing is stupid, it kills people, and it can cost you your license and your car. So don’t do it.
And now back to the action of a street race that has been captured and put on YouTube. The video shows a lightly modified BMW M3, the brand new F80 generation model, lined up next to a shiny new Mercedes-Benz C63 S AMG Edition 1. The cursory three honks ring out, and then you hear nothing but a swell of German noise as the Mercedes walks away and leaves the BMW sitting there.
It is not like that was a surprise, though. The Mercedes makes 85 more horsepower and 110 more pound-feet of torque. That little Bavarian didn’t even stand a chance. BMW owners can talk about “poise, balance, and feel” all they want to, but when the rubber hits the road, there is only one car that charges ahead.
The C63 has poise and balance as well, just like the BMW, but it’s that extra power, that makes the difference. That is why people buy the C63 — not for the badge, but for the pure performance.
