Fret Not, European Delivery is Still Available on a Mercedes

A salesman at a Mercedes dealership in Tennessee claims that European Delivery is still a thing. We’ve dug deeper and can verify this.

A little while ago, we learned that three major German automakers, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, and BMW, all took European delivery off of their websites. We learned the information from YouTuber Nick Murray who claimed that Porsche had taken the option away from consumers in the United States. After looking into it, we found that prospective buyers could no longer choose European delivery on any of the automakers’ respective websites.

Needless to say, we were taken aback, as European delivery gives fans and buyers the opportunity to experience their new vehicles on European roads, get a tour of the factory where the car was built, and get a discount on the new machine, as well. While some automakers may have taken European Delivery off of their websites, it looks like the program, at least for cars from Mercedes, is still available.

MBWorld received an email from an individual who claims to work in the sales department of a Mercedes-Benz dealership in Kingsport, Tennessee. “Mercedes’ European delivery program is still going strong,” said Bill Woods in an email. “I am in sales at Mercedes-Benz of Kingsport, TN, and placed an order last week for a customer who will be taking delivery in Sindelfingen on March 9, 2018. The order was confirmed by Mercedes, and Euro Delivery paperwork has already been received by my customer.”

If Mercedes officially axed European Delivery, the first people to know would be the sales team. While Woods’ information is good news, more good news is that if you dig a bit, you can find the European delivery option here.

Still, it’s odd that for Porsche and BMW, European Delivery is no longer an option for individuals who are building their dream cars online. Perhaps that’s another reason to choose a Benz.
