Väth Turns E500 into 520hp Sleeper
The E63 AMG doesn’t come cheap. But, we can easily understand that people might want to get more bang for their buck from their run of the mill E500 sedan.

German tuners, Vath have released a new kit for the E500 owner that wants all the speed and fury of an AMG without any of the flash. The upgrades are mainly done through ecu tuning. They haven’t swapped out turbos, but they still manage to bring it’s engine output to 520hp and 597 ft-lbs of torque. To match the increased power, Vath also equips cars with 390 mm brake discs and customized wheels.

They also add some accouterments to the exterior as well. In typical Vath style, the car has been changed to look more discreet than obscene (we’re looking at you Mansory). The kit includes a carbon fiber rear diffuser, front spoiler, an trunk lid diffuser. They also take care to black out the grill and debadge the car, turning the already stealthy E Class into a true sleeper.

In Germany Vath is charging €32,250 ($40,400) for the total tuning package. Any way you cut it, that’s a hefty price tag. Especially considering the price of the Vath kit on top of a new E550 is almost exactly the same price as the E63 AMG. Still, if you have an old E class lying around, gathering dust, we see no better use for it than this.
