Yellow Super Nova: 2014 SLS AMG Black Series
By now, you’ve probably gotten a peek at Mercedes’ SLS AMG Black Series. It been on the internet for a few weeks, but Mercedes’ top dog was officially unveiled at the LA Auto Show last week. If you’re lucky enough to live in the area, it’d be worth your time to check out the show (and the SLS) yourself.

Press photos are one thing, but seeing it up close is an entirely different ordeal. While it technically might not be the most powerful SLS available (oddly, the E-Cell takes that honor) it’s easily the fastest. And, were I given several hundred thousand dollars to spend with reckless abandon, this car would be on my short list. It doesn’t have the elegance and poise of the stock SLS, but it shouldn’t. This isn’t the one that you take to the opera. This is the one you take when you want to be faster than everyone else.
