The upcoming 2012 Mercedes-Benz S-Class was seen being tested in rough conditions, as reported by Car Advice. How rough? Negative-30-degrees-Celsius rough. The spy shots show a whole range of updates to the exterior styling.
The headlights, which should be fully equipped with LED tech, appear to have shrunk a bit in size. Car Advice expects an updated grill design that is just shy of the one on the F700 Concept.
Although the interiors were not really visible, the new S-Class will definitely stay true to its lineage and showcase a complete line of high-tech features and gadgets. After all, this is the vehicle that Mercedes-Benz uses to exhibit state-of-the-art features that are going to be included in run-of-the-mill vehicles in the future.
Across the 2012 range of S-Class vehicles, Merc will also be introducing three hybrid alternatives: plug-in, full and mild.
