2016 Mercedes-Benz SLC Roadster Spied Again

Spy-Shots of Cars

The reveal of the “all-new” 2016 SLC from Mercedes is getting ever closer, and we have even more spy shots of the little roadster running around town, this time wearing even less camo than usual.

From a visual standpoint, there is not a lot of new info to gain. We still know that a new front end and bumper are coming, as well as revised taillamps. But the real changes for the new SLC are obviously the badge, as it’s no longer the SLK, and the running gear.

Mercedes just revealed a power bump for the current SLK, as well as a new 9-speed transmission. We suspected that both of these were coming for the SLC, but Mercedes may have released them early to help bolster lagging sales of the SLK. Other drivetrain changes that are expected to arrive with the SLC include a move to the new 4.0-liter biturbo motor for the AMG version, getting away from the 5.5-liter engine in the car now. It is still unclear if the Mercedes will keep the “55 AMG” nomenclature.

As always, we will keep you up to speed with all the new information and spy shots as we get them.
